Abstract: A coexistence module usable at secondary locations within a routing optical network is disclosed, which accommodates OTDR testing on the optical network without requiring a separate, dedicated fiber connected between secondary locations for such testing. Rather, a filter arrangement is used in which OTDR wavelengths are separated from transmission wavelengths and optically connected to bypass router equipment at the secondary location.

The first end receives a first connector having a first pair of contacts and the second end receives a second connector having a second pair of contacts. The contact sub-assembly includes exactly one pair of coupling contacts and a body portion supporting the pair of coupling contacts. The contact sub-assembly is positioned centrally within the housing and includes an anti-rotation feature and one or more crush ribs to create an interference fit with an interior surface of the housing. The pair of coupling contacts serve to couple the first and second connectors for both power and data transmission. In certain embodiments, contacts sub-assembly utilizes a circuit board to electrically couple contacts.
Abstract: A sealed stranded wire assembly includes one or more stranded wires. The one or more stranded wires includes a solid portion formed on or attached to the length of the one or more stranded wires. The solid portion prevents liquid, dust, or other contaminants from traveling along the length of the one or more stranded wires through voids within the one or more stranded wires.
Abstract: A distributed radio access network (RAN) includes a plurality of remote units (RUs) communicatively coupled to a centralized unit. During each of at least one measurement iteration: one of the plurality of RUs is selected as a transmit-mode RU and all other of the plurality of RUs are in receive-mode; the transmit mode-RU transmits a known pattern signal to the receive-mode RUs; and each receive-mode RU determines a frame or symbol boundary difference between when the transmit-mode RU transmitted the known pattern signal and when the respective receive-mode RU received the known pattern signal. Following the at least one measurement iteration: the centralized unit determines a respective timing offset based on each frame or symbol boundary difference; the centralized unit determines a common alignment point for the RUs based on the timing offsets; and each RU's timing is adjusted to align with the common alignment point.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for using a model and data to determine adjustments, e.g., reductions, of power consumption, e.g., component(s), of a base station utilizing an older or optionally a newer RAT, and even when to decommission a base station utilizing the older RAT.
Abstract: A fiber optic connector and cable assembly includes a cable with one or more strength members secured to a connector that is connectable to both a hardened and a non-hardened fiber optic adapter. The cable can include multiple cable types with various shapes and strength member configurations. The connector includes a connector housing having a one-piece main body and a cover piece mounted thereon. The one-piece main body defines a plug portion compatible with the adapters. A ferrule assembly is mounted in the plug portion and biased outwardly by a spring. An insert within the connector housing includes a spring stop for holding the spring and a cable retention portion for securing the strength members of the cable. The spring stop and the cable retention portion can be included on a one-piece insert or they can separately be included on separate inserts.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a cable seal for use in a telecommunications enclosure. The cable seal can include various features such as an offset actuator for pressurizing the seal, a latch for securing the seal in a pocket of an enclosure, a gel containment extension for covering a portion of a perimeter of a volume of gel of the seal, a gel interlock feature and/or a feature for adjusting the gel volume of the seal.

Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to methods, apparatus, and computer readable media configured to schedule individual orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) resources on an upstream channel to serve a data transmission request from a downstream device. A schedule for a set of available resources on the upstream channel to serve the data transmission request is generated, based on a dynamic bit loading profile, including generating data indicative of a first bit loading profile for a first set of resources from the set of available resources for a first burst, and data indicative of a second bit loading profile for a second set of resources from the set of available resources for a second burst. The schedule is transmitted to a downstream device, such that the downstream device is configured to encode the first burst using the first bit loading profile and the second burst using the second bit loading profile.
