    Abstract: The invention includes methods for forming a retreaded tire and treads there for. Particular embodiments of such methods include providing a tire carcass configured to receive a tire tread along an annular tread-receiving area and a pre-formed tread comprising a tread body and a submerged void arranged along a bottom side of the tread and extending into the tread thickness to a top end located below the top side of the tread, the submerged void having a length and an opening arranged along the bottom side when the tread is in an uninstalled configuration, where the opening of the submerged void extends in a direction of the submerged groove length along an alternating, non-linear path. Further steps include assembling a retreaded tire by arranging the tire tread atop a bonding layer arranged between the tire tread and the tire carcass and comprising uncured bonding material.

The partially hidden longitudinal groove (22) has a surface opening (28) that extends from a surface of the tread to the undersurface channel (24). The tread (12) has at least one of two features. The first feature is that the surface opening (28) extends from the surface to the undersurface channel (24) at an angle to the thickness direction such that the surface opening (28) at the surface is forward of the surface opening (28) at the undersurface channel (24) in the rolling direction (20). The second feature is that a lateral sipe (32) engages the surface opening (28) so that the first end is at the surface opening (28), and the second end is forward of the first end in the rolling direction (20).

    Abstract: A method for cleaning a vulcanization mold for tires in a curing press uses device having a collaborative mobile robot and incorporating a computer program. The robot includes an autonomous mobile platform mounted on drive wheels and having batteries supplying electricity, a dry ice dispenser, sensors for identifying the location of the mold to be cleaned, and motors ensuring its displacement between a storage location of the device and the mold to be cleaned and the displacement of an articulated mobile arm of the robot. The robot bears a nozzle for spraying dry ice from the dispenser. The device comprises means for communication with a control unit. The control unit sends a mission instruction to the device, which navigates between a storage location and the location of the mold and automatically cleans the vulcanization mold.

After each angular increment in roll, about a pitch axis perpendicular to the roll axis, in order to fold each portion of the end section located in an angular working sector occupied by a pressure roller towards the radially inner face of the wall, around the reinforcing bead core. Finally, the drive device includes a selector for placing the pressure rollers in a withdrawn position to disengage the trajectory followed by the wall of the carcass assembly during its roll rotation.
