Abstract: A neuron circuit performing synapse learning on weight values includes a first sub-circuit, a second sub-circuit, and a third sub-circuit. The first sub-circuit is configured to receive an input signal from a pre-synaptic neuron circuit and determine whether the received input signal is an active signal having an active synapse value. The second sub-circuit is configured to compare a first cumulative reception counter of active input signals with a learning threshold value based on results of the determination. The third sub-circuit is configured to perform a potentiating learning process based on a first probability value to set a synaptic weight value of at least one previously received input signal to an active value, upon the first cumulative reception counter reaching the learning threshold value, and perform a depressing learning process based on a second probability value to set each of the synaptic weight values to an inactive value.

  • Patent number: 10281594
Abstract: A gamma ray Compton TOF camera system includes multiple detector modules, each comprising a gamma radiation sensitive material and arranged in layers formed by one or more detector modules. The layers are placed such that they interfere an incoming gamma ray in order to completely or partially absorb it after one or more Compton interactions and are spatially separated in order to allow for the determination of the temporal order of each gamma ray interaction inside the camera system. The camera system also includes read out electronics and a Data Acquisition System where signals from the detector modules will be readout, digitized and sent to a processing unit, which is capable to obtain the 3D position, energy and temporal sequential order of the individual interactions produced by a single incident gamma ray.

  • Patent number: 10105390
Abstract: Process for obtaining fluoride-doped citrate-coated amorphous calcium phosphate nanoparticles. This material has applications in biomedicine due to its biodegradability and bioactivity; it also promotes cell adhesion and osteogeneration. In dentistry, it may be used in toothpastes, mouthwashes, chewing gums, gels and fluoride varnishes as a remineralising agent of dentine and enamel. It is based on two solutions formed by calcium chloride and sodium citrate on the one hand, and by sodium monohydrogenophosphate and sodium carbonate with a fluoride compound on the other, which are mixed at room temperature. The process is eco-efficient and eco-friendly, as it does not leave any acid residue; it consists of a single stage and it is the first time that an amorphous calcium phosphate coated with citrate and doped with fluoride, which enhances its remineralising action, is obtained.
