Abstract: A method is for monitoring tire states and/or sensor states. The method includes the steps: a) capturing whether at least one tire sensor module for measuring tire states and/or sensor states is present in a monitoring region; b) determining whether the captured tire sensor module is unknown; c) evaluating data messages from the at least one captured and unknown tire sensor module, the evaluation including at least comparing at least one tire state transmitted via the data message with a limit value therefor and/or monitoring a sensor state of the tire sensor module transmitted via the data message; and, d) outputting a warning signal if a tire state exceeds or undershoots the respective limit value in order to indicate that a tire state of a tire assigned to the at least one unknown tire sensor module is critical and/or if a critical sensor state is detected.

Abstract: A method for making a vehicle tire wherein the vehicle tire includes a belt having at least one belt layer made of parallel steel cords embedded in rubber. The belt ply is built up on a building drum in order to produce a tire blank. Upon completion of the tire blank, the tire blank is shaped and vulcanized in a vulcanizing press. The method includes applying the belt ply made of parallel, extensible steel cords embedded in rubber to a building drum to build up the belt. After the tire blank is completed, the tire blank is shaped and vulcanized in a vulcanizing press to reduce the extensibility of the steel cords.

Abstract: A method for making a carcass for a pneumatic vehicle tire includes building up a carcass free from sidewalls with an inner liner, a single-ply or multi-ply carcass inlay and bead cores, at a carcass station on a carcass building drum, while creating ply turnups. The carcass produced without sidewalls is transferred to a transfer device. The carcass is kept on the transfer device while applying sidewalls to the carcass. The carcass is retained on the transfer device while transferring the carcass provided with the sidewalls to a shaping machine where the carcass is shaped into a toroidal shape.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a method for making a vehicle tire having a tire carcass defining an axial center, a first and a second tire bead, a tire belt and a tread. The carcass is completed on a carcass drum wherein the carcass drum is free of sidewalls. The tire carcass is removed from the carcass drum and moved to a transfer position for arranging sidewalls. The sidewalls are arranged on sidewall drums on sides of the carcass. The sidewall drums are moved in axial direction toward the axial center of the tire carcass. The sidewall drums with the sidewalls are expanded and connected to the tire carcass. Thereafter, the sidewall drums are collapsed and moved outward and the tire carcass is released for further transport. The carcass and the attached sidewalls are transferred to a shaping drum where the tire carcass with the sidewalls is shaped.
