Abstract: A power converter can be controlled to generate a target output power. The control process may include obtaining a target current reference for the power converter, sensing an output current of the power converter, and determining a difference between the target current reference and the sensed output current. The next switching duty cycle for the next switching period of the switching circuits in the power converter can be derived based on at least the present switching duty cycle of the present switching period, and the difference between the target current reference and the sensed output current. The switching circuits of the power converter can then be switched according to the derived next switching duty cycle in the next switching period.

Abstract: A rattle mitigation assembly for a window regulator installed in a vehicle door includes drive unit housing having a port with a mouth of a cylindrical cavity adapted to receive a connector of a sheathed cable; a profiled end face extending around the mouth; and a slot extending radially outward from the cylindrical cavity, along the cylindrical cavity and through the end face. The end face forms a radially sloped ramp profile configured to exert a radial bias on a compression spring surrounding the connector and abutting the end face. An optimal slope angle of the ramp for urging the spring in the radial direction lies in the range of 45° through 80° with respect to a plane extending radially relative to the cylindrical cavity. An optional wedge profile with an increasing elevation along a direction away from the radially sloped ramp profile may be arranged opposite the ramp profile to exert an axial bias on the compression spring.
Abstract: An apparatus and method is provided for a defibrillator that specifies treatment protocols in terms of number of chest compressions instead of time intervals. The defibrillator includes a connection port that is configured to attach with a plurality of electrodes that are capable of delivery of a defibrillation shock and/or sensing one or more physical parameters. An energy storage device capable of storing a charge is attached to the plurality of electrodes. A controller is coupled to the plurality of electrodes and the energy storage device, the controller is configured to provide CPR chest compression instructions in terms of the numbers of CPR chest compressions.

Abstract: A plug valve including a valve body having an inlet port, an outlet port and a central chamber extending between the inlet port and the outlet port. The valve also includes an inlet seal segment within the central chamber and includes a bore extending therethrough and aligned with the inlet port. An outlet seal segment is disposed within the central chamber having a bore extending therethrough and aligned with the outlet port. A plug member is disposed in the central chamber and is moveable between an open position, to facilitate fluid flow through the plug valve, and a closed position, to block fluid flow through the plug valve. First and second side segments are disposed between and interlocked to the inlet and outlet seal segments to encircle the plug member. The side segments are tensioned to preload the seal segments against the plug member to prevent the flow of fluid between the seal segments and the plug member.
Abstract: A fluid end block for attachment to a power end of a high pressure reciprocating pump includes a main body portion having an outwardly facing body forward face, an outwardly facing body rear face opposite the body forward face, and opposing side surfaces. A web portion protrudes outwardly from the outwardly facing body forward face. The web portion may have an outwardly facing web forward face and a curvilinear side surface. The web portion may be integral with the main body portion. A plurality of bosses protrude from the web forward face and having a forward facing end. The plurality of bosses may be integral with the main body portion and the web portion. A plunger bore extends through one of the plurality of bosses configured to receive a reciprocating plunger.

Abstract: A dam-shaped throttling block for use in a pipe, for the measurement of the flow rates of fluids. The shapes of four successive flat surfaces on the throttling block angularly-displaced relative one another in the flow direction, together with an aperture in the one of the flat surfaces extending parallel to the pipe longitudinal axis, create reduction of a cross-sectional area in one step from one that is unthrottled to one that is throttled, extending for a limited distance in the pipe, and then expansion of the cross-sectional area in two steps from the throttled one back to the unthrottled one so to provide for accurate measurements and an improved lifetime. Flow rates of highly viscous fluids and fluids that contain solid particles can be measured. Other benefits include reduced head loss, wide measurement range and reduced installation space.
Abstract: Environmental friendly automotive fluid dispensing systems and are provided. One disclosed system provides for the controlled dispensing of an automotive fluid selected from multiple automotive fluids. A quantity of fluid to be dispensed can be designated and the system can dispense the designated quantity of the selected fluid. A pump assembly is used to transfer automotive fluid from a selected container to a dispensing gun in a controlled fashion. The product dispensing gun can include a check valve for preventing fluid from exiting the dispensing gun when no fluid is being transferred to the dispensing gun by the pump assembly.
