Abstract: A solid-state imaging device includes an imager including pixels arranged in a matrix, and AD converters, each of which is provided in each pixel column and converts a signal voltage read from one of the pixels located in the column to a digital value. Each of the AD converters includes a comparator and a counter section including a counter circuit, which receives a comparison result of the comparator and includes a first DFF for n bits, and a transfer circuit, which includes a second DFF for n bits holding and outputting a count value of the counter circuit. The second DFFs provided in the columns are coupled in series to form a transfer section transferring the signal voltage which has been digitally converted.

The connection switch includes first to third terminals for receiving first to third voltages, respectively, selects and outputs the first voltage or the second voltage or the third voltage to each of the first to seventh intermediate terminals, including selection of the same voltage for a plurality of the intermediate terminals. The connection switch switches assignment of the first to third voltages to the first to seventh intermediate terminals responsive to a connection switching signal. The operation unit receives the voltages assigned to the first to seventh intermediate terminals and outputs to an output terminal a voltage obtained by performing a predetermined operation on the voltages supplied to the first to seventh intermediate terminals.

Abstract: A computing device-implemented method for implementing dynamic hierarchical memory cache (HMC) awareness within a storage system is described. Specifically, when performing dynamic read operations within a storage system, a data module evaluates a data prefetch policy according to a strategy of determining if data exists in a hierarchical memory cache and thereafter amending the data prefetch policy, if warranted. The system then uses the data prefetch policy to perform a read operation from the storage device to minimize future data retrievals from the storage device. Further, in a distributed storage environment that include multiple storage nodes cooperating to satisfy data retrieval requests, dynamic hierarchical memory cache awareness can be implemented for every storage node without degrading the overall performance of the distributed storage environment.

Abstract: A consumer audio system has a signal processor coupled for receiving an audio signal. The audio signal is sampled into a plurality of frames. The sampled audio frames are separated into sub-frames according to the type or frequency content of the sound generating source. A time domain processor generates time domain parameters from the separated sub-frames. A frequency domain processor generates frequency domain parameters from the separated sub-frames. The time domain processor or frequency domain processor can detects onset of a note of the audio signal. A signature database has signature records each having time domain parameters and frequency domain parameters and control parameters. A recognition detector matches the time domain parameters and frequency domain parameters of the separated sub-frames to a signature record of the signature database. The control parameters of the matching signature record control operation of the signal processor.

Abstract: The present embodiments are generally directed to layers that are useful in imaging apparatus members and components, for use in electrophotographic, including digital, apparatuses. More particularly, the embodiments pertain to an electrophotographic imaging member having a charge transport layer in which a charge transport molecule (CTM) concentration gradient is formed through a single coating pass using only a single charge transport layer solution, and time-of-flight based methods of measuring the CTM gradient through the thickness of the charge transport layer.

Abstract: A method is provided that includes causing transmission of a first mobility management (MM) message from a UE to a core network including packet-switched (PS) and circuit-switched (CS) domains. The method may include causing transmission of the first MM message to a PS-domain component, and receiving a rejection message from the PS-domain component in response thereto. The rejection message indicates congestion as a cause for rejection of the first MM message. In response to receipt of the rejection message, the method may include running a back-off timer. While the back-off timer is running in an instance in which the rejection message indicates that circuit-switched services are permitted, the method may include causing transmission of a second MM message from the UE to a CS-domain component. A corresponding apparatus and computer-readable storage medium are also provided.

Abstract: A method of computed-tomography and a computed-tomography apparatus in which x-ray projection data is acquired at a number of views for a scan of an object. Partial images are created from data for a desired number of said views. Full scan images are created from plural ones of the partial images. Non-overlapping time images are created from the full-scan images. Gradient images are also created. An improved image is created by weighting respective ones of the full scan and non-overlapping time images using the gradient image. The improved image has increased sharpness with reduced noise.

Abstract: Systems. Methods, and Computer Program Products are provided for recovering transactions of failed nodes using a recovery procedure in a clustered file system (CFS). A data segment is determined that the data segment should be copied to a final storage location by validating that an ownership of the data segment is not associated with any other operational node, via a distributed shared memory (DSM) agent. The ownership of the data segment is set to a local DSM agent.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus relating to very large scale FET arrays for analyte measurements. ChemFET (e.g., ISFET) arrays may be fabricated using conventional CMOS processing techniques based on improved FET pixel and array designs that increase measurement sensitivity and accuracy, and at the same time facilitate significantly small pixel sizes and dense arrays. Improved array control techniques provide for rapid data acquisition from large and dense arrays. Such arrays may be employed to detect a presence and/or concentration changes of various analyte types in a wide variety of chemical and/or biological processes. In one example, chemFET arrays facilitate DNA sequencing techniques based on monitoring changes in hydrogen ion concentration (pH), changes in other analyte concentration, and/or binding events associated with chemical processes relating to DNA synthesis.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a control method for charging a terminal and an apparatus thereof. The method includes steps of: judging whether the terminal is in an operation state or a standby state when the terminal is in a full-charged state (101); controlling a charging circuit of the terminal to be in a switching-on state when the terminal is in the operation state (102); and controlling the charging circuit of the terminal to be in a switching-off state when the terminal is in the standby state. With the control of switching-on or switching-off of the charging circuit based on the states of the terminal, the service life of the terminal is prolonged, a heat emission phenomenon caused by long-time charging of the terminal is avoided, and the charging safety of the terminal is ensured.
