Publication number: 20120293423Abstract: A method, medium, device, and user interface are provided for receiving a handwriting input and for presenting prediction candidates based on the handwriting input. A pen down event is detected in a writing panel of a user interface. The writing panel is expanded to overlie function keys and a candidate window of the user interface such that those features are made inaccessible for inadvertent selections thereof. Upon detection of a pen up event the writing panel is decreased in size to again reveal the features. Recognition candidates are identified based on the handwriting input. Prediction candidates are also identified based on a highest ranking recognition candidate and are presented in combination with the highest ranking recognition candidate. Prediction candidates are thereby identifiable with the recognition candidate with which they are associated and selection of a prediction candidate and recognition candidate may be performed in single selection input.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2011Publication date: November 22, 2012Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Juan Dai, Yi Zhou, Mingqin Li, Liang Chen

Publication number: 20120293171Abstract: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) produces an image representative of flowing nuclei within a subject. For each of plural MRI data acquisition sequences, a non-contrast pulsed ASL (arterial spin labeling) pre-sequence is applied to flowing nuclei in a tagging region during a tagging period (that occurs prior to MRI data acquisition from a selected downstream image region). The ASL pre-sequence includes plural different elapsed tagging times at which a radio frequency (RF) nuclear magnetic resonant (NMR) nutation tagging pulse occurs or does not occur in accordance with different predetermined patterns for corresponding different data acquisition sequences. Acquired MRI data is decoded in accordance with such predetermined patterns to detect MRI signals emanating from different cohorts of flowing nuclei that have been subjected to different combinations of nutation pulses. Acquired MRI data is used to reconstruct at least one image representing flowing nuclei within the selected image region.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2011Publication date: November 22, 2012Applicants: TOSHIBA MEDICAL SYSTEMS CORPORATION, KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOSHIBAInventors: Wayne R. Publication number: 20120293590Abstract: A liquid chamber for a liquid ejecting apparatus includes a prism disposed on a bottom portion of the liquid chamber. The prism includes a first reflection surface having a first reflection region by which light incident on the prism from a light emitting element is reflected when liquid does not make contact with the first reflecting region. The prism includes a relief that includes a first relief surface opposed to the first reflection region. The thickness of the prism between the first reflection region and the first relief surface is substantially constant. The constant thickness of the prism between the first reflection region and the first relief surface suppresses deflection of the first reflection region, thereby improving sensitivity for the detection of liquid in the liquid chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 21, 2012Publication date: November 22, 2012Applicant: Seiko Epson CorporationInventors: Junpei Yoshida, Yuichi Nishihara

Publication number: 20120293197Abstract: At least one N-type transistor and at least one P-type transistor separate from the digital circuit are sized to represent the total area of the corresponding type transistors in the digital circuit. The gates of the N-type transistor and P-type transistors are set to voltages according to the corresponding off-state logic levels of the digital circuit. The N-type and P-type transistors form a portion of corresponding current mirror circuits, which can provide outputs to a leakage current monitor and/or a control circuit such as a comparator that determines when leakage current for the N-type or P-type devices has exceeded a threshold. The output of the measurement/control circuit can be used to determine a temperature of and/or control operation of the digital circuit or the system environment of the integrated circuit.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2012Publication date: November 22, 2012Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Rajiv V. Publication number: 20120293648Abstract: It is an objective to provide a component mounting system capable of enhancing work efficiency by diminishing work load stemming from preparation of image recognition data, an image recognition data preparation apparatus, and an image recognition data preparation method. A line camera structurally similar to a line camera used in a component mounting machine outputs image data while a component is irradiated with reflective illumination light and transmissive illumination light. The thus-output image data are acquired and subjected to recognition processing, to thus prepare image recognition data on the basis of a result of recognition processing. Subsequently, a recognition test using the thus-prepared image recognition data is performed, thereby determining whether or not the image recognition data are appropriate. A recognition test which would be performed in an actual component mounting machine thereby becomes unnecessary.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2011Publication date: November 22, 2012Applicant: PANASONIC CORPORATIONInventors: Hirotake Nakayama, Atsushi Tanabe
