  • Patent number: 10400937
Abstract: An adjustable monitor stand that can hold a monitor includes a carrier, a base, and a low friction insert. First and second channel insertion portions extend from a curved lower surface of the low friction insert. Each has outer walls to be received by and fixedly engage with first and second base channels formed in a curved upper surface of the base, respectively, to prevent movement of the low friction insert with respect to the base. The first and second channel insertion portions each have inner walls to receive first and second protrusions extending from a curved lower surface of the carrier, respectively, and permit the carrier to be moved about a non-vertical axis as the first and second protrusions slide along the inner walls. The first and second protrusions of the carrier also form a frictional engagement with the inner walls of the first and second channel insertion portions.

  • Patent number: 10358869
Abstract: A control system is disclosed that includes a room controller transmitting signals to both a shade control network and a light control network, directing that motorized roller shades and dimmable lights be set to desired intensity levels. The control system further includes an intelligent hub that provides a trickle-charge re-charge current via power-over-Ethernet cables to batteries associated with each of the motorized roller shades for re-charging the batteries, thereby eliminating power supplies being installed within walls. The intelligent hub provides for communication with the room controller based on streaming protocol and with the shade control network based on event-based protocol. A computer running user interface software may be connected to the system to facilitate programming.

  • Publication number: 20190161314
Abstract: A cable retractor enclosure having a weighted cable pulley and cable pulley guide rails. The cable pulley is rotatable about a pivot and configured to translate along said grooves when a cable wrapped underneath is extracted from the cable retractor enclosure. The cable extends outside of the retractor enclosure from its upper end and provides a cable end plug that sits within a retractor module insert. Weights may be attached to the cable pulley in order to leverage gravitational forces, which result in a bias causing the cable to retract back into the enclosure. Friction forces against the extracted cable can be used to prevent the gravitational bias the cable pulley exerts (retraction forces) on the cable by bending the cable to lay flat onto a table surface.

The scan channel mask and the listen channel list are updated during each scan/listen cycle. The scan channel mask may comprise channels containing desired PANs, non-desired PANs, and channels on which beacons were heard. The listen channel list may comprise channels containing desired PANs and channels on which beacons were heard. The NAF process further comprises receiving PAN information included in heard beacons and attempting to join the best network based on the PAN information.
