Abstract: A three-dimensional image transformation, executing on one or more computer systems, can mathematically transform a first two-dimensional image space onto a second two-dimensional image space using a three-dimensional image space. The three-dimensional image transformation can project the three-dimensional image space onto the first two-dimensional image space to map the first two-dimensional image space to the three-dimensional image space. Thereafter, the three-dimensional image transformation can project the second two-dimensional image space onto the three-dimensional image space to map the three-dimensional image space to the second two-dimensional image space.

Abstract: Embodiments include a system, method, and a computer program product for notifying a technician when a repair task the technician is addressing may be negatively impacted by a nearby fault and/or if the technician is qualified to repair a nearby fault. The technician is qualified if the technician has the necessary skills, parts (e.g., materials), and/or equipment (test equipment) required to repair the nearby fault. In addition, embodiments include receiving and responding to queries from a technician to: determine whether any of the repair tasks associated with the technician's assigned tickets are futile tasks based on newly received faults or pending tickets; and determine whether the querying technician is qualified to address (e.g., repair) any newly received faults or pending tickets.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a point-to-multipoint communication system having a service provider system and one or more subscriber devices. The one or more subscriber devices include multiple physical layer (PHY) devices that can be used for upstream direction and/or downstream direction transfer of information to and/or from the service provider system. The one or more subscriber devices receive subscriber device configuration information from the service provider system indicating which of these multiple PHY devices are to be used for the upstream direction and/or the downstream direction transfer of the information to and/or from the service provider system. In some situations, the subscriber device configuration information identifies various types of information, such as video, audio, and/or data to provide some examples, to be transferred in the upstream direction and/or the downstream direction and/or one or more PHY devices to be used for transferring the various types of information.

Abstract: A system and method provides for the use of a proprietary platform to predict impressions and to predict and design ad campaigns. Specifically, a proprietary programmatic advertisement platform correlates television programming asset sources with actual viewing behavior of broadcasts associated with the television programming assets and ad content associated with the ad campaign. The correlation produces a predicted performance value used to generate an ad campaign. For instance, the invention enables television programming asset sources and viewership information providers to communicate with the programmatic advertisement platform in a way that adds value to or otherwise facilitates the valuation of the television programming asset sources in context of the particular ad.

Abstract: Embodiments include a system and method for a real-time distributed Transport Stream (TS) analysis that utilizes many parts of an available network to concurrently monitor TSs across a geographic region. Embodiments include the selection of a profile for each combination of a TS and a collection point where the profile includes one or more sets of acceptable transmission values or ranges associated with the combination. The profile may include for example, program service information tables, service information, TS transmission parameters, and/or general TS quality index analysis rules. Embodiments include real-time concurrent monitoring and analysis of multiple TSs from collection points distributed throughout the geographic region. As services associated with the TSs at different collection points evolve, the respective profiles and rules adapt accordingly to maintain the quality of service and performance associated with respective TS and collection point combinations.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a communication environment having a service provider server that receives an audio command from a display control device within the communication environment. The service provider server can translate this audio command into an electrical command for controlling the display device. The service provider server autonomously performs a specifically tailored search of a catalog of command words and/or phrases for the audio command to translate the audio command to the electrical command. This specifically tailored search can include one or more searching routines having various degrees of complexity. The most simplistic searching routine from among these searching routines represents a textual search to identify one or more command words and/or phrases from the catalog of command words and/or phrases that match the audio command.

Abstract: A cable provider could offer a promotional feature, such as live pause of video, above and beyond a tier of service to which the customer subscribes, limiting the feature to being activated only upon occurrence of one or more events. In a network video delivery context, a set-top box plays live video, including an ability to pause live video upon the occurrence of an event. The system can detect an event, including an event unrelated to video, and prompt a user to pause. The system can include configuration settings enabling, for example, detection of various events, prompting the user to pause live video, and/or automatically pausing the live video. The system enables the user to play a time-shifted video corresponding to resuming the paused video playback. The system can include a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) local to the user, to facilitate the time-shifted video.

Abstract: In an anonymous matching system, a demand-side service platform (DSP) may select segments to populate a target audience. A data warehouse platform and a multichannel video programming distributor (MVPD) platform ingest address lists, eliminate personally identifiable information (PII) from the address lists, and process the de-identified addresses to generate deterministic unique anonymous household identifiers (UHIDs). Households may be selected, for example, at the DSP's direction, to form a query request without exposing the PII. In response to the query request, the MVPD platform determines a matching UHID and includes a matching household attribute, such as an IP address or the like, in a query response without exposing the PII.

Abstract: Customers at a premises attempting to connect a new wireless device, such as a mobile phone or tablet to an available wireless network (Wi-Fi), receive network login information such as an Wi-Fi SSID (service set identification) and Password through a system generated equivalent QR code that can then be scanned to automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network. The system receives a request for Wi-Fi settings at a premises, identifies customer equipment associated with the premises, identifies an Wi-Fi SSID (Service Set Identification) and password associated with the customer equipment, generates a QR (Quick Response) code representing the Wi-Fi SSID and password, sends the QR code to one or more devices associated with the premises for display and subsequent scanning at the premises.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes an autonomous mechanism for implementing a flexible image repository that includes an image retrieval service and an image repository management application. The flexible image repository performs delta processing to provide a subset of stored images to a subscriber device when the image retrieval service receives an image update request. The subscriber device thus receives updates to the image repository in a manner that reduces bandwidth requirements at both the server and the client, allowing client-side images to be updated more frequently. A content manager may update the flexible image repository via the image repository management application, which tags images according to a naming convention prior to inserting the images in the image repository.

Additionally, the luminaire includes a wireless antenna positioned within the interior volume, configured to transmit or receive a wireless signal along a first direction, and configured to be operatively coupled to an access point. The wireless antenna can be entirely within the interior volume. The luminaire can include a first reflective surface within the interior volume and configured to redirect the wireless signal. The lamp can be configured to be electrically coupled to a power inserter that powers the access point.

Abstract: Embodiments include originating and terminating a short message service (SMS) message using an IP network. Delivery of an SMS message is attempted on a first network a first predetermined number of times according to a first predetermined time schedule. Delivery of the SMS message on a second network is attempted after a failure to deliver the SMS message on the first network. Reattempted delivery of the SMS message on the first network is followed by reattempted delivery of the SMS message on the second network, according to a second predetermined time schedule. Embodiments also include monitoring registration of a recipient of the SMS message, receiving a new registration, and attempting delivery of the SMS message on the network associated with the new registration.

Abstract: Embodiments enable seamless Wi-Fi roaming by providing a user with a single username that is associated with a set of resources in the seamless network that includes different Wi-Fi networks (e.g., Wi-Fi networks with different domain names). As a user travels from a first access point in a first Wi-Fi network to a second access point in a second Wi-Fi network within the seamless network, network elements in the seamless network may recognize the user's single username as an already established session (e.g., with the first access point) and direct traffic accordingly to the second access point. Embodiments also satisfy business requirements by updating accounting data accordingly by indicating that the user accessed the seamless network from the first Wi-Fi network. Embodiments allow a user roaming on the seamless network to experience the policies and network requirements associated with the Wi-Fi domain of the second access point.

Abstract: In a video delivery context, collection and analysis of viewing data can provide insight into viewer interaction with video and the Internet. The viewing data can be transmitted in a controlled manner to a data repository. The system can selectively target specific viewers/households to obtain viewing data, which can be combined with demographics, anonymized, and encrypted. Embodiments enable precision selection of media opportunities, by determining detailed characteristics associated with broadcasts including movement of audiences and specific viewer behavior, such as visits to websites on the Internet. The effective yield of broadcasts, including promotional spots and advertisements, can be determined and predicted based on concrete data at a level of detail down to individual viewers. Accordingly, embodiments enable improvement of the effectiveness and return on investment for programming, promotional spots, and advertisements.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided to collect and update data on client devices connected to WiFi access points is provided. An inventory of WiFi cable modems and WiFi access points coupled to the WiFi cabled modems within a specific network is periodically collected. Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of WiFi cable modems and WiFi access points coupled to the WiFi cabled modems are periodically updated. Traps are periodically received from the WiFi access points. The traps are parsed to collect an inventory of client devices wirelessly connected to the WiFi access points and a time at which a client device connected to the WiFi access point. The WiFi access points are periodically polled to collect data on client devices, the data including a period of time that a client device has been connected to a WiFi access point and a physical location of the client device.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses can detect whether an impairment is present within a service provider network. The impairment can cause a service provided by the service provider network to not perform as expected. These systems, methods, and apparatuses can develop multiple network records to record the performance of the service provider network at various instances in time. These systems, methods, and apparatuses can compare these network records among each other to detect for the presence of the impairment within the service provider network. These systems, methods, and apparatuses can thereafter diagnose and/or remedy the impairment when present within the service provider network.

Abstract: A service provider network can enable subscriber of a service with capabilities of performing one or more trick playback modes, such as pause, play, stop, fast-forward, and/or rewind to provide some examples, on media content provided by a service provider network that is being presently viewed by one or more subscribers while abiding by current copyright laws. The service provider network can broadcast the media content to a subscriber device that is associated with the subscriber and can simultaneously store an exclusive copy of the media content being displayed by the subscriber device. And, the systems, methods, and apparatuses can time-shift the exclusive copy of the media content in accordance with the one or more trick playback modes and can unicast the time-shifted copy of the media content to the subscriber device to perform the one or more trick playback modes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, apparatus, and computer program product embodiments for dynamic mitigation of CGN IPv4 address provisioning for network gateways when adverse conditions are in effect. A network gateway may be provisioned with a shared WAN IP address from a pool of IP addresses designated for Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CGN) and configured to detect the occurrence of an adverse condition for a connection provisioned the shared WAN IP address. Upon detecting an adverse condition, the network gateway may send a request for a new IP address to a DHCP server configured to recognize flags indicating an adverse condition. The DHCP server may then provision the gateway with a new public IP address.

Abstract: A system and method for polling a plurality of client devices of different types are provided. A reboot and polling tool pre-polls client devices, where the pre-poll is specific to a type of client device and identifies a state of the client devices. The reboot and polling tool then executes a script on the client devices that changes the state of the plurality of client devices. After the script is executed, the reboot and polling tool post-polls the client devices where the post-poll is specific to the type of client device and the post-poll provides information that identifies changes in the state of the client devices caused by the script.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for interrogating and remediating a device. For example, a method includes: transmitting instructions from a headend device to a plurality of remote devices, the instructions being for diagnosing a status of each of the plurality of devices; based on responses from the plurality of remote devices, identifying a set of remote devices from among the plurality of remote devices requiring remediation; categorizing each remote device of the set of remote devices into one of a plurality of categories based on a connectivity status between each remote device and the headend device; and assigning, for each of the plurality of categories, a respective number of connections for remediating the set of remote devices.
