Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for generating a stable clock signal having a Long term jitter noise removed therefrom. In a mobile communication terminal having a power management chip for converting a sinusoidal wave oscillated in a crystal into a clock signal of square wave, the sinusoidal wave is converted into a square wave clock signal by the stabilized driving power having no alternating current components, and thus a power noise of the square wave clock signal is removed. Then, the square wave clock signal having the power noise removed therefrom is outputted after a predetermined delay time. Accordingly, it is possible to supply the clock signal having the Long term jitter noise removed therefrom and synchronized to each device in the mobile communication terminal.

Abstract: The method for controlling a low noise amplifier (LNA) gain state which is applied to a receiver having the LNA is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: storing an LNA gain state of an idle mode when a state of the receiver transits an idle mode to a sleep mode; and returning to the stored LNA gain state when the receiver transits the sleep mode to the idle mode.
Abstract: Disclosed is an image/audio playback technology in a mobile communication terminal. According to the present invention, a single image is divided into two halves, i.e., left-half and right-half images, which are displayed on two mobile communication terminals, respectively. In addition, two mobile communication terminals can play left-side and right-side audio data, respectively, which compose stereo audio data, according to the relative locations of the two mobile communication terminals.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal having a malfunction-preventing function is provided, including a keypad; a voltage source which is activated by voltage supplied to an EN terminal, processes voltage supplied from a battery, and outputs the processed voltage; a power_on switching unit switched on when a switch_on key of the keypad is pressed; a charging terminal supplying voltage supplied upon charging to the EN terminal; a malfunction-preventing unit preventing voltage from being supplied from the charging terminal to the EN terminal while a control signal is input; and a controller which is activated by voltage supplied from the voltage source during a power-off condition, controls the mobile communication terminal by supplying voltage to the EN terminal of the voltage source and receiving voltage from the voltage source, and outputs a control signal to the malfunction-preventing unit only when a power-off process is performed according to a power-off instruction from the keypad.
Abstract: Disclosed are a soft handoff system, a soft handoff method, and a mobile terminal equipped with the soft handoff system. The soft handoff system for a mobile terminal analyzes periodically monitored wireless conditions of neighbor base stations, transmits a PSMM (Pilot Strength Measurement Message) to a current base station when a condition arises that needs reporting to the current base station, receives an HDM (Handoff Direction Message) from the current base station, wherein upon receiving the HDM from the current base station, the system allows a handoff drop timer of an active base station belonging to an active set having a pilot channel signal strength less than a predetermined value to continue running rather than to be reset until the handoff drop timer expires.
