Abstract: The invention relates to the field of biomedicine, in particular to the use of annexin A5 in the treatment of cerebral stroke. The invention provides a method for treating cerebral stroke and a drug combination containing annexin A5. The method can reduce cerebral infarction, improve symptoms of neurobehavioral deficits in the brain and treating stroke.
Abstract: A parallel assembly of chromatography column modules, the assembly having one common assembly inlet and one common assembly outlet, each column module comprising a bed space filled with chromatography medium and each column module comprises integrated fluid conduits which when the column module is connected with other column modules are adapted to connect the bed space of the column module with the assembly inlet and the assembly outlet, wherein the total length and/or volume of the fluid conduit from the assembly inlet to one bed space together with the length and/or volume of the fluid conduit from the same bed space to the assembly outlet is substantially the same for all bed spaces and modules installed in the parallel assembly.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a global shutter CMOS pixel circuit and its image capturing method. The global shutter CMOS pixel circuit comprising a power supply unit, a pixel signal generating unit, a signal sampling and holding unit and a signal outputting unit. An output of the pixel signal generating unit is connected to an input of the signal sampling and holding unit. An output of the signal sampling and holding unit is connected to an input of the signal outputting unit. The output signal of the pixel and the photo-generated current are set to a logarithmic relationship, which effectively increases the signal dynamic range. Therefore, image signal transmission with high speed and high dynamic range can be achieved simultaneously. Furthermore, the pixels in the present disclosure can eliminate the process variations, which increases the consistency of the pixels.

Abstract: A circuit includes a field effect transistor having a gate driven via a drive signal. The field effect transistor has a drain-source voltage drop indicative of the intensity of a current flowing in the current path through the field effect transistor. The circuit also includes a pair of sensing transistors that include a first sensing field effect transistor arranged with its drain and gate coupled with the drain and the gate of the field effect transistor, respectively, and a second sensing field effect transistor having a gate configured for receiving a replica of the drive signal. Abstract: A superconducting input and/or output system employs at least one microwave superconducting resonator. The microwave superconducting resonator(s) may be communicatively coupled to a microwave transmission line. Each microwave superconducting resonator may include a first and a second DC SQUID, in series with one another and with an inductance (e.g., inductor), and a capacitance in parallel with the first and second DC SQUIDs and inductance. Respective inductive interfaces are operable to apply flux bias to control the DC SQUIDs. The second DC SQUID may be coupled to a Quantum Flux Parametron (QFP), for example as a final element in a shift register. A superconducting parallel plate capacitor structure and method of fabricating such are also taught.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and apparatus for treating a medical condition of a patient, involving detecting a physiological cycle or cycles of the patient and applying an electrical signal to a portion of the patient's vagus nerve through an electrode at a selected point in the physiological cycle(s). The physiological cycle can be the cardiac and/or respiratory cycle. The selected point can be a point in the cardiac cycle correlated with increased afferent conduction on the vagus nerve, such as a point from about 10 msec to about 800 msec after an R-wave of the patient's ECG, optionally during inspiration by the patient. The selected point can be a point in the cardiac cycle when said applying increases heart rate variability, such as a point from about 10 msec to about 800 msec after an R-wave of the patient's ECG, optionally during expiration by the patient.

Abstract: A sealing valve plug structure includes a valve plug column corresponding to the drain opening formed in the side wall of an inner drum, and a counterweight hinged to the upper end of the valve plug column. The sealing valve installation structure is installed on the side wall of the drum, and the reset spring is clamped between the sealing valve installation structure and the valve plug column. The counterweight is used to generate an action, under the action of centrifugal force, to open the drain opening, and the valve plug column is reset by the reset spring to make the valve plug block the drain opening, to thereby open and close the drain opening. A cleaning-free washing machine having an inner drum sealed by the sealing valve plug structure is also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for treating oxygenated volatile organic compounds in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction water. Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction water is subjected to (a) primary concentration and separation, (b) carbonyl compound hydrogenation, (c) carbonyl compound cutting, (d) mixed-alcohol dehydration, (e) solvent recovery, (f) ethyl alcohol separation, (g) methyl alcohol removal and separation, (h) isopropanol separation, (i) propyl alcohol cutting, (j) n-propyl alcohol separation, and (k) 2-butanol separation, so that basic organic chemicals such as ethyl alcohol, isopropanol, n-propyl alcohol, 2-butanol and mixed alcohols are obtained. Compared with the prior art, the method directly converts the concentrated Fischer-Tropsch synthesis water rich in alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, acids, and esters into a mixed-alcohol solution by hydrogenation, thus having the advantages of simple separation process and high product purity.
