Abstract: The invention provides novel 8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octane compounds of formula (I): wherein R1, R2, R3, A, and G are defined in the specification, or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt or solvate thereof, that are antagonists at the mu opioid receptor. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds, methods of using such compounds to treat conditions associated with mu opioid receptor activity, and processes and intermediates useful for preparing such compounds.

Abstract: A device for tagging an object includes a tag body having an engagement arrangement with a removable strap for engaging the tag body to the object. The engagement arrangement further includes a sensing arrangement having a strap sensor arrv banged to be connected to the removable strap to detect a disengagement of the tag body from the object. The removable strap further includes a conductive member arranged to connect with the strap sensor and disconnect from the strap sensor when the tag body is disengaged from the object.

A threaded shaft is within the inner cavity of the casing, and a bearing within the inner cavity. A coupling assembly couples the output shaft to the threaded shaft, and has a first coupling component receiving the rotational output from the motor, and a second coupling component coupled to the first coupling component for transmission of the rotational output to the threaded shaft. A substantial portion of a coupling is in an axial section of the linear actuator delimited by a proximal and distal surface of the bearing. A sliding tube is within the inner cavity and translates relative to the casing. A traveling nut is connected to the sliding tube for moving therewith for converting a rotational motion of the threaded shaft into a translation of the sliding tube.

Abstract: A method for the activation of a windscreen wiper motor is disclosed, in which the motor is connected to a wiper blade by a drive shaft, which moves the wiper blade between two reversal points of a wiping field in differing movement direction, where the rotation speed and direction of the motor, or the speed of the wiper blade, is detected by a sensor device and is supplied to a control device as an input value. The motor, before reaching the respective reversal point, is switched off, whereupon the drive shaft continues to rotate further by a castor angle up to a standstill, and the wiper blade moves further by a trailing distance. The actual speed of the wiper blade is compared at the switch-off time with a nominal speed, and the motor is operated further for a period of time when the comparison results in a difference in values.

In one example, the personalized retail experience is provided based on customer-input received through an NFC reader of the kiosk. Also, the mobile device can be provided with a retail store identifier through an NFC-based communication link with an NFC tag for the store. The personalized retail experience can then be provided through the mobile device based on retail information for the retail store that is retrieved by the mobile device based on the identifier obtained through NFC.

The sensed current is processed over one or more PWM cycles of the PWM control signal to generate an output signal indicative of average inductor current. This processing may include charging and discharging a capacitor at different rates dependent on the sense current, with the detection of capacitor discharge triggering a sampling of a voltage dependent on the sensed current that is indicative of average inductor current. The processing may include using the sensed to current to generate a first charge voltage associated with minimum inductor current and a second charge voltage associated with maximum inductor current, and then averaging the first and second charge voltages to generate an output signal indicative of average inductor current.
