The invention relates to the seeds of cotton cultivar DP 108 RF, to the plants of cotton DP 108 RF and to methods for producing a cotton plant produced by crossing the cultivar DP 108 RF with itself or another cotton variety. The invention further relates to hybrid cotton seeds and plants produced by crossing the cultivar DP 108 RF with another cotton cultivar.

Abstract: There is provided a renal disease testing method comprising a complex detection step of detecting a complex of an antigen derived from human renal mesangial cells and human IgA in a sample derived from urine collected from a subject. Abstract: The present invention concerns a new process for depositing a thick compact layer of biomolecules for instance such a layer with thickness in the ?m scale and, for depositing a thick compact layer of cells in the ?m scale. The deposited layer is made by application of an unbalanced (asymmetrical) alternating voltage polarization between two electrodes to a dissolved biomolecule or cell from low conductivity solutions. The process allows the rapid manufacturing of sensors and the coating of devices with functional cells and biomolecules. Examples are provided on the preparation of functional sensors such as a glucose, a lactose sensor, a hydrogen peroxide sensor and a glutamate sensor. Examples are also provided on the deposition of eukaryoric cells such as saccharomyces cerevisiae. The examples demonstrate a process that can be applied to coat devices with biomolecules and biological cells.

Abstract: A method of automatically detecting an anomalous condition relative to a nominal operating condition in a vapor compression system. An expected input power function in the form of a hyperplane is calculated based on three temperature readings: an intake temperature from an intake area of the condenser unit, a return temperature from an intake area of an evaporator unit, and a supply temperature from a supply output area of the evaporator unit. The function produces an estimate of the expected input power consumed by the compressor unit, and this expected input power is compared with an actual input power measured from the compressor unit. If the expected input power deviates from the measured input power by more than a predetermined tolerance, an indication is stored and communicated that an anomalous condition, such as a refrigerant loss, condenser unit fouling, or a malfunctioning fan, exists in the vapor compression system.
