Abstract: A method of network communication and a network gateway are disclosed. The method and gateway operate between a secure network and remote clients by way of an intermediate transport network, such as the Internet. The remote clients connect through a NAT router so share a common source address on the intermediate transport network. In the secure network, the method analyses packets received from a remote client to identify packets that start a new secure communication session. Then, the method assigns a session-unique address and port to the new secure communication session. Subsequent packets are translated in the secure communication session by exchanging the source address with the local session address. Thus, the secure network perceived each session as originating from a distinct address and port, whereby several such sessions can coexist simultaneously.

Abstract: Quantum annealing may include applying and gradually removing disorder terms to qubits of a quantum processor, for example superconducting flux qubits of a superconducting quantum processor. A problem Hamiltonian may be established by applying control signals to the qubits, an evolution Hamiltonian established by applying disorder terms, and annealing by gradually removing the disorder terms. Change in persistent current in the qubits may be compensated. Multipliers may mediate coupling between various qubits and a global signal line, for example by applying respective scaling factors. Two global signal lines may be arranged in an interdigitated pattern to couple to respective qubits of a communicatively coupled pair of qubits. Pairs of qubits may be communicatively isolated and used to measure a response of one another to defined signals.

Abstract: The disclosed technology automatically terminates wireless service that a mobile communication network provided to a telematics unit, e.g. when the customer is no longer active for telematics service. The disclosed deactivation allows the network service provider to reuse any resources, such as mobile numbers, that were previously assigned to the particular telematics unit. In a disclosed example, a SMS deactivation message causes the telematics unit to delete its mobile provisioning data, such as its MDN and/or its MIN, and replace that data with a dummy number. The deactivation procedure may also provide a replacement destination number for emergency calls, typically a cleared number, such as 911. For example, the deactivated telematics unit would be able to call a PSAP, and the PSAP would recognize that the unit is inactive for wireless service (and cannot be called-back) from the dummy number used to identify the unit.
Abstract: Systems, methods and articles solve queries or database problems through the use of graphs. An association graph may be formed based on a query graph and a database graph. The association graph may be solved for a clique, providing the results to a query or problem and/or an indication of a level of responsiveness of the results. Thus, unlimited relaxation of constraint may be achieved. Analog processors such as quantum processors may be used to solve for the clique.

Abstract: A method for decoding tail-biting convolutional codes. The method includes initializing a correction depth, selecting a first starting state from a set of encoding states, and initializing a metric value for the selected starting state as zero and the other states as infinity. The input bit stream is read and a Search Depth Viterbi algorithm (SDVA) is performed to determine path metrics and identify a minimum-metric path. The ending state for the minimum-metric path is determined and the output for this ending state is identified as “previous output.” A second starting state is set to the ending state of the minimum-metric path, and symbols equal to the correction depth from the previous output are read. The SDVA is performed on the second set of read symbols to generate a corrected output. A decoded output is generated by replacing symbols at the beginning of the previous output with the corrected output.
