Abstract: The present invention relates to a refrigerator appliance including a wire harness fixing device and, more particularly, to a fixing device for fixing a wire harness crossing a space between an inner panel and an outer panel of a door, and where the wire harness is configured for electrical connection with a heater inside a partition unit. Embodiments also include a refrigerator appliance including the wire harness fixing device. The wire harness fixing device having a body part configured to have a hollow portion formed therein, thereby allowing a wire harness to be inserted therein, and an opening portion formed to be open partially at one surface thereof. The wire harness also having a fixing part, a cover part and a coupling part.

After each rectangular page data is divided into a central region and a peripheral region, only the peripheral region is rearranged to generate a rearranged peripheral region. The central region is merged with the rearranged peripheral region to generate modified page data which has a shape of circle or n-polygon, n being an integer equal to or larger than 5.
Abstract: In a holographic digital data storage system, holographic page data has at least two concentric patterns with the optical information arranged within an outermost pattern of at least two concentric patterns. Since at least two concentric patterns in the holographic page data are deformed into at least two elliptic patterns in the diffracted beam caused by irradiation of the reference beam, at least two elliptic patterns are extracted from the diffracted beam and then at least two elliptic patterns are estimated to generate at least two estimated concentric patterns. A compensated vector between said at least two elliptic patterns and said at least two estimated concentric patterns is used to reconstruct the optical information from the diffracted beam.
Abstract: A brush head of a vacuum cleaner can pivot in a horizontal direction as well as a vertical direction with respect to a suction pipe, so as to easily clean an area narrower than the width of the brush head. The brush head of a vacuum cleaner includes a body which is detachably coupled to a suction pipe and is formed with a suction hole for sucking dust. A hollow cylindrical pivoting part is integrally formed with the body at a rear central portion of the body and is formed with a roller receiving cut along a periphery of the lower surface of the pivoting part. Abstract: A method compensates a phase delay of a clock signal used in a data communications system. First, a plurality of delayed clock signals are provided by modifying the amount of delay of the clock signal. In synchronization with one of the delayed clock signals, one or more test data signals and their address signals are sequentially issued and sent to a storage device. In synchronization with the original clock signal, each test data signal is stored in an area that its address signal indicates and then, upon receipt of the address signal at a predetermined time of the original clock signal, a data signal which corresponds to the address signal is read and sent to a controller. At a predetermined time of the delayed clock signal, a data signal is received from the storage device and it is checked whether or not each test data signal and the received data signal are the same.
Abstract: An OFDM receiver system for performing precise OFDM demodulation is provided. The OFDM receiver system performs demodulation by sharing memories and operators in a time-divisional manner. FFT-processed data is separated into specific pilot signals and data according to the timing indicated by a controller to then be rearranged and stored, thereby facilitating extraction of corresponding pilot signals and data for various synchronization and equalization steps. Therefore, the demodulation system having an optimal structure can be realized in view of resource utilization efficiency and chip areas, the cost and time for fabricating and designing the system can be reduced, and verification of the system can be easily performed.

Abstract: The method and apparatus capable of adaptively coding intra-video signals by separately predicting intra DC and AC coefficients is provided. The method comprises the steps of finding a DC reference block among the previously coded blocks based on a correlation of the DC coefficients of the previously coded blocks; setting a DC coefficient of the DC reference block as a DC reference coefficient; determining one of the previously coded blocks as an AC reference block based on a correlation of selected AC coefficients of the previously coded blocks; generating AC reference coefficients based on AC coefficients of the AC reference block; and encoding coefficients of the current block based on the DC and the AC reference coefficients. The apparatus includes a transform block, a quantization block, a memory, a prediction block, and an entropy coding block.
Abstract: A power supply according to the principles of the inventions comprises two stages. The first stage is a power factor corrector stage. This stage provides the required line regulation, including greater than 95% power factor correction, and provides a range of outputs from approximately 5 volts to 200 volts with good load regulation at low voltages. The second stage is a soft switching power supply having good load regulation from approximately 40 to approximately 175 volts. An intermediate high voltage of the first stage supplies the input to the second stage, thereby achieving extremely good line regulation and low regulation.
Abstract: An air conditioner includes an oxygen-enriched air separator for separating exterior air into oxygen-enriched air and nitrogen-enriched air and an oxygen-enriched air supplier for supplying the separated oxygen-enriched air to an indoor unit. The oxygen-enriched air separator has a main body, an oxygen-enriched air outlet port connected to the indoor unit through a supply tube, a nitrogen-enriched air outlet port for exhausting the nitrogen enriched air and a pressure maintenance unit for maintaining a pressure difference between a first space communicated with the nitrogen-enriched air outlet port and a second space communicated with the oxygen-enriched air outlet port over a predetermined level.

Abstract: A surround signal processing apparatus and method can realize sound image localization and have reverberation effects. In the apparatus, left and right impulse measuring sections measure left and right impulses of a head related transfer function for an input audio signal based on a number of a plurality of lattices defined in a three dimensional space, horizontal and vertical angles defined by a center of a dummy head and the plurality of lattices. Left and right convolution operators convolve left and right channel signals of input audio signal with left and right impulses of head related transfer function, respectively, in order to localize sound image for input audio signal at an objective localization position. Left and right reverberators impart first and second reverberant sounds to left and right channel signals, respectively.
Abstract: In a run-length limited encoding method used in an optical data storage system for encoding input data of two bits into corresponding output data of five bits, a minimum run-length of zeroes (0's) in a stream of the output data is 3; a maximum run-length of zeroes (0's) in the stream of the output data is 11; and the number of 1 included in binary numbers of five bits expressing the corresponding output data is 1 or 0. In the encoding method, the input data of two bits is one of “00”, “01”, “10” and “11”; and the corresponding output data is one of “10000”, “01000”, “00100” and “00010”.

Abstract: A method for editing images by inserting information therein in an interactive system provided with a mutual communication structure between a client equipment and a server equipment, is provided. The information includes index data, subscriber data, video data and WB data. The edited images including the information inserted are stored in storage media, such as hard disks or optical disks, included in the server equipment employed in the interactive system. And, a method for playing back edited images information in response to a playback instruction for the edited images information requested by an interactive system subscriber by using the interactive system provided with a mutual communication structure between a client equipment and a server equipment is also provided.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for estimating coarse frequency offset in OFDM receiver are disclosed. The method for estimating coarse frequency offset includes the steps of: a) performing differential decoding process for two adjacent OFDM symbols obtained by performing FFT on the OFDM signal; b) obtaining candidate offset values by using L number of differential decoded values at the same position from the reference signal among differential decoded values; and c) estimating a coarse frequency offset according to positions on which the first and the second maximum values among the 2S+1 number of candidate offset values are present. The apparatus for estimating coarse frequency offset includes an input buffer, a complex multiplier, a storing unit, an address controller, a frequency offset acquisition unit and a frequency offset tracking unit.
Abstract: A converter utilizing a multifilar transformer having its primary and auxiliary windings made simultaneously, a technique known as bifilar winding, provides high efficiency and low noise. The multifilar winding technique yields minimum leakage inductance between the windings and reduces the proximity effect to a minimum achievable using most well-known wires. The converter utilizes an improved soft-switcher topology which advantageously reduces the interwinding capacitance between the primary and auxiliary windings of the transformer. The topology includes a resonant LC circuit interposed in series with one leg of the auxiliary winding and the auxiliary switch. The other leg of the auxiliary winding is at ground. A controller is provided to control switch timing such that the converter optimizes switch loss and resonant pulse loss.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for allocating a bandwidth to bit streams of a video signal having variable bit rates, wherein the bit streams are transmitted to an ATM(asynchronous transfer mode) network, encodes the video signal to thereby generate the bit streams of the encoded video signal. Then, a bit function B(i) of the bit streams is generated, wherein the bit function B(i) represents the amount of bits per predetermined ith unit in the bit streams, i being an index of the predetermined unit ranging from 1 to N and N being an integer larger than 1 and fractal surface areas Aj's based on the bit function B(i) are iteratively calculated, j being an integer ranging from 1 to M and M being an integer larger than 1. Thereafter, an intermediate parameter I by using the fractal surface areas Aj's is determined and a Hurst parameter H is evaluated based on the intermediate parameter I.
Abstract: The encoding type of a target macroblock is determined based on the texture information thereof, and the shape information and the texture information on the target macroblock are re-formed in response to the encoding type. After the CBPY bit number of the target macroblock is determined based on the re-formed shape information, the CBPY bit number being the number of non-transparent subblock's, the re-formed texture information of the target macroblock transformed and quantized into a set of quantized transformation coefficients for each non-transparent subblock based on the CBPY bit number. The CBPY information for the target macroblock is generated, wherein the CBPY information represents whether or not the set of quantized transformation coefficients for said each non-transparent subblock contains at least one non-zero component therein, and the encoding_type and the CBPY information for the target macroblock are multiplexed into a bit stream.
