Abstract: Provided is a wall-mounted drum washing machine which includes a rear panel having a buffer member interposed between a through-hole and a wall surface and mounted on the wall surface through a fastening member inserted through the through-hole, a tub containing wash water and supported by the rear panel, and a box unit coupled to the rear panel so as to surround the tub. The wall-mounted drum washing machine includes a sensor configured to sense a contact state between the rear panel and the wall surface, a control unit configured to determine a mounting abnormality of the drum washing machine based on the sensed contact state, and a power supply unit configured to control power supply according to the determination result of the control unit.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes ice tray devices and methods. In one embodiment, ice tray is included in an ice-making device of a refrigerator. The ice tray can be configured to uniformly distribute water to a plurality of ice-making spaces included in the ice tray. The ice tray can include water supply grooves that provide paths through which water is allowed to flow in the tray body. The dimensions of the water supply grooves can vary enabling control of water and ice formation depth of the water supply grooves can become gradually larger from one end portion of the tray body toward the other end portion of the tray body.

Abstract: An ice making duct for a refrigerator unit includes a cooling duct configured to allow cooling air to be movable in a longitudinal direction therein. Both ends of the cooling duct are connected to an ice making chamber such that the cooling air circulates through the ice making chamber. The ice making duct includes an evaporation coil configured to be wound around the cooling duct. The evaporation coil cools air in the cooling duct to generate cooling air through a process of heat exchange with a refrigerant. The ice making duct includes a heater configured to heat frost generated in the cooling duct forming defrosted water.

The refrigerator further includes an ice-making pipe installed within the ice-making unit so that the ice-making unit makes heat exchange with the refrigerant, a refrigerant pipe installed in the refrigerator main body so as to receive the refrigerant from the cold air generation unit, and a soft pipe disposed around a folding portion of the refrigerator main body and the door and configured to interconnect the ice-making pipe and the refrigerant pipe in a stretchable manner.

Abstract: A refrigerator having a cool air path damper assembly that can remove dew from the damper housing when the cool air path damper opens and closes. The damper assembly has an anti-freezing pad attached to its upper surface. An elastic anti-freezing member is inserted into the anti-freezing pad. The elastic anti-freezing member moves with the damper when the damper switches between an open and a closed state. During such a motion, the elastic anti-freezing member sweeps through the interior surface of the housing and thereby removes moisture from the interior surface. This can prevent ice formation on the damper due to rapid temperature drop when the damper opens.

Abstract: A washing machine with a liquid additive supply device capable of sensing an amount of liquid additive contained therein. A buoyancy body and a sensing unit are disposed in a reservoir tank of the liquid additive supply device. The vertical position and therefore the distance between the buoyancy body and a sensing unit vary with the surface level of liquid additive in the reservoir tank due to buoyancy effect. The buoyancy body may include a magnetic body and the sensing unit can detect the intensity of the magnetic body. The surface level of the liquid additive is too low, the sensing unit can generate a signal indicative of liquid additive shortage.

Abstract: A refrigerator including an ice maker and cutters for crushing ice produced from the ice maker. The cutters include fixed cutters and rotational cutters. Through holes are formed on the cutters to facilitate cold air flow to pass through the cutters and into the ice crushing space. The rotational cutters can rotate in one direction to crush the ice, and can rotate in another direction to leave the ice uncrushed.
