Abstract: A method to control functions in a vehicle using gestures carried out in three-dimensional space. When it is determined that a first gesture carried out in three-dimensional space is detected by an image-based detection procedure, it is determined whether the first gesture is a gesture directed towards a virtual object superimposing a real environment around the vehicle. If it is determined that the first gesture has been detected, it is determined whether a second gesture carried out in three-dimensional space is detected by the image-based detection procedure. If so, it is determined whether the detected second gesture is a gesture allocated to a manipulation of the virtual object, and the virtual object is manipulated accordingly.

Abstract: A roof module for a vehicle roof of a passenger vehicle is disclosed. The roof module has at least one covering element which is adjustable in a guided manner along lateral guiding elements which are spaced apart from one another in the vehicle transverse direction between a closed position which covers a roof opening and an open position which releases the roof opening at least in a partial region. At least one of the guiding elements is formed at least in an absorption region as an energy absorption element which is deformable, thereby absorbing energy, in the case of an at least indirect impact of the head of a vehicle occupant with the energy absorption element.

Abstract: A method for moving image contents that are displayed on a display device of a motor vehicle is disclosed. A movement of the image content takes place by user input on a touch-sensitive surface differing from the display device. The user input involves touching the touch-sensitive surface with a finger on a first point, movement of the finger over the touch-sensitive surface from the first point to a second point, and holding the finger on the second point during the movement of the image content. A direction in which the image content is moved is based on a relative position of the second point in relation to the first point. A distance from the second point to the first point determines a speed at which the image content is moved. A corresponding control and display device and computer program product are also disclosed.
Abstract: A method and device for determining a target curve incline of a motor vehicle during traveling of a curved roadway section is disclosed. A momentary transverse acceleration of the motor vehicle is determined depending on a momentary speed of the motor vehicle and a momentary roadway curvature of the curved roadway section determined by an optical detection system. A momentary target curve incline for the motor vehicle is calculated from the determined momentary transverse acceleration. A modified momentary target curve incline is calculated by weighting of the calculated target curve incline with a speed-dependent target curve incline weighting factor. The momentary roadway curvature is determined by additionally using a vehicle navigation system of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: An electrically conductive adhesive is disclosed for bonding anode and cathode flow field plates together for use in fuel cells. The adhesive formulation comprises epoxy methacrylate resin and non-fibrous carbon particles but little to no carbon fibres. The adhesive provides suitable strength, bond gap, conductivity and other properties, particularly for flow field plates made of flexible graphite, carbon, or metal.

Abstract: The invention relates to a slide tool, in particular for press-fitting or crimping a friction ring of a brake disc with a pot of the brake disc. The invention furthermore relates to a brake disc, in particular of a motor vehicle, having a pot, which has a floor and a wall that protrudes from and encloses it, and having a friction ring, which has an opening in which the wall is arranged.
Abstract: A drive train device for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The drive train device has a first component, a second component which is connected to the first component so as to transmit torque and consists at least substantially of a material formed from lightweight metal, and at least one element which is at least partially enclosed in the second component and which consists at least substantially of a predominantly iron-containing material. The enclosed element is a connecting element which is connected to the first component by substance-to-substance bonding in order to produce the torque-transmitting connection. The first component and/or the second component at least partially form a housing. The enclosed element projects axially on both sides out of the material of the second component and at least one side of the enclosed element which projects axially has at least one balancing element and/or at least one balancing recess.

Abstract: A device for displaying moving images in a motor vehicle displays moving images in a first or second mode. In the first mode the moving images are displayed with normal playback parameters and the refresh rate in the second mode is lower than in the first mode. One of the first and second modes is selected based on a speed of the motor vehicle.
Abstract: A roof module includes a support designed as a closed frame, to which a roof cladding element is fitted and these two components are made to form an assembly by an adhesive bead and joined by a molding made of a material that can be applied while being curable, preferably a thermoplastic polymer. In order to compensate thermal stresses caused by different coefficients of thermal expansion of the components, the molding has contact regions towards the support or the roof cladding element where there is no adhesion between the molding and the component.

Abstract: A holder to fasten at least one component to a glass pane, in particular to a windscreen of a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The holder has a supporting body, which has a lower side, with which the supporting body is able to be adhered to the glass pane by adhesion, and an upper side, on which the holding elements are arranged to fasten the at least one component to the supporting body. A simplified installation results if a first section of the supporting body, which is provided to fasten at least one component, is separated from the remaining supporting body along two separate slots, where both slots begin at an outer edge of the supporting body and end at a connection region at a distance from the outer edge, via which the first section is connected to the remaining supporting body.
Abstract: If, in uphill deceleration determination procedure, it is determined that the vehicle is being decelerated on an uphill slope, a transmission shift lever is in D range, the motor is in order, the start gear is a first specified gear or lower, a to-be-selected traveling gear is a second specified gear or lower, an actual even-numbered gear is a third specified gear or higher, and actual odd-numbered gear is a fourth specified gear or higher, a first, a second and a third synchronizer mechanisms are put in neutral position to create a state in which no gear is selected. Then, a shift to a gear suited for re-acceleration is conducted by activating operating the first, second and the third synchronizer mechanisms.
