  • Patent number: 9097176
Abstract: A turbocharging system of an internal combustion engine includes compressor of a turbocharger disposed on an intake passage of an internal combustion engine and a turbine disposed on an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine. A bypass passage connects an upstream side and a downstream side of the turbine in the exhaust passage together. A wastegate valve, which is disposed on the bypass passage, opens and closes the bypass passage according to turbocharging pressure of the compressor. An accumulator, which accumulates exhaust gas pressure, is connected to a downstream side of the wastegate valve in the bypass passage. A recirculation passage connects the accumulator and an upstream side of the turbine together, and a recirculation valve, which opens and closes the recirculation passage based on an output request, is deposed on the recirculation passage.

  • Patent number: 9090289
Abstract: A motor vehicle body includes stiffening struts created from a composite fiber material. Each stiffening strut is connected at both ends to the adjoining body components via a connection section. The fibers of the stiffening strut run essentially unidirectionally in the direction of loading of the stiffening strut and the cross-sectional area of the stiffening strut remains constant at least between the connection sections of the stiffening strut along a length of the stiffening strut.

  • Patent number: 9090007
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for producing a composite component comprising a hollow profile and at least one injection-molded element, a hollow profile (3) is formed by means of internal high pressure fluid forming and is encapsulated with an injection molding material to form the injection-molded element. The hollow profile is expanded by means of internal high pressure in a closed combination tool comprising an internal high pressure forming tool element and an injection molding tool element, before it is encapsulated. The hollow profile is pressed on the tool engraving only locally in the region of the location to be encapsulated, keeping the outlet of the injection molding channel opening into the tool engraving clear.

  • Patent number: 9079538
Abstract: A pair of external vehicle mirrors with a driver-side external vehicle mirror and a passenger-side external vehicle mirror are provided. Each have a mirror foot and a mirror housing pivotably attached, in which an adjustable mirror glass is arranged. The mirror housings of the two external vehicle mirrors are constructed symmetrically, so that an identical oncoming wind flow situation is achieved, and that on a rear side of the two mirror housings there is arranged a mask encompassing the mirror glass, the mask of the driver-side external vehicle mirror being formed asymmetrically to the mask of the passenger-side external vehicle mirror.

  • Patent number: 9079571
Abstract: A method for operating a brake assist device for a vehicle and a brake assist system for carrying out the method involve effecting an assist function, in the absence of driver action, in a plurality of escalation stages on the basis of a distance of the vehicle from an object located in front of the vehicle. A warning indication is generated as an assist function and/or a braking process of the vehicle is initiated automatically. A road on which the vehicle is being driven is classified, and the execution of the assist function is permitted or prevented on the basis of the classification.
