Abstract: In a phase adjustment device for a valve drive mechanism of an internal combustion engine, in particular a camshaft adjustment device, with a phase adjustment unit which, for adjusting a phase position in a normal operating mode, comprises a coupling unit for controlling an adjustment gear element by applying a braking force, and with a failsafe adjustment arrangement for setting a defined fail-safe phase position in a fail-safe operating mode, the adjustment unit includes mechanical means for varying the braking force of the coupling unit of the phase adjustment unit for setting the phase angle to a controllable failsafe phase angle position.

Abstract: In a method for reducing the emission of nitrogen dioxide in a motor vehicle having an exhaust gas purification system having an SCR catalytic converter with adsorption centers for nitrogen oxides, an exhaust gas enriched with ammonia is supplied to the SCR catalytic converter above an operating temperature. Below the operating temperature, the exhaust gas supplied to the SCR catalytic converter is enriched with a material such that an adsorption of nitrogen oxides is inhibited at corresponding adsorption centers of the SCR catalytic converter. In order to reduce the overall NOx emissions below a first, predeterminable amount, an exhaust gas enriched with ammonia is supplied to the SCR catalytic converter and the NO2 portion of the total NOx emissions is reduced below a second, predeterminable amount in that NO2 is converted with hydrocarbons stored in the SCR catalytic converter.

Abstract: A method for the automated coupling of a mobile communication terminal with a central computing unit of a motor vehicle involves the mobile communication terminal communicating with a server to exchange pairing information. The central computing unit of the vehicle and an internet server exchange the pairing information. Abstract: A single cell for a battery includes an electrode stack situated within a cell housing formed from two electrically conductive shell-shaped housing side walls situated essentially in parallel opposite one another, having a shell flange extending around the edges. The shell flanges are joined to one another to form a flange area and are electrically insulated from one another. Pole contact tabs of the electrode stack are connected electrically connected to the housing side walls. At least one of the housing side walls has a section protruding, at least in parts, beyond the flange area of at least one housing edge of the cell housing. The protruding section of the housing side wall is angled in the direction of a cell interior and in the direction of a shell base of the housing side wall, and in the angled state protrudes beyond the shell base by a predetermined amount.
Abstract: A fuel cell system includes at least one fuel cell and a humidifying device for humidifying a supply air flow flowing to a cathode chamber of the fuel cell by an exhaust air flow discharged from the cathode chamber of the fuel cell. The supply air flow and the exhaust air flow are separated from one another by water vapor-permeable membranes. An anode water separator, through which exhaust gas from an anode chamber of the fuel cell flows, is integrated into the humidifying device.
