Abstract: The present disclosure provides a power split transmission with four Electric Variable Transmission (EVT) modes and six fixed gears for use in hybrid electrical vehicles (HEV). The present disclosure utilizes two electric motors (“E-motors”), an engine, three planetary gear sets, and five selectively engageable clutches. The clutches are engaged in different combinations to engage the different gears and EVT modes. In the six fixed gears, power is transmitted only on the mechanical path for the highest transmission efficiency. In the four EVT modes, a part of the power is transmitted electrically. The EVT modes are designed for the lowest power split ratios, allowing the use of low powered E-motors. Additionally, the present disclosure can include a front E-motor design allowing scalable E-motors and a modular transmission design, and a middle E-motor design.
Abstract: An airbag for a motor vehicle includes a support structure moveable from a stowage position into a restraint position and a covering that surrounds a restraint volume of the airbag formed by the support structure in its restraint position. The covering is an element that is separate from the support structure and joined to the support structure.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for detecting motion for the sensor controlled activation of an operating device for at least one motor vehicle equipment item having at least two capacitive sensors with overlapping detection zones, which provide signals to a control device to control the equipment item. The method comprises the determination of at least one direction of the operating motion within the overlapping detection zones as a valid motion direction for actuating the vehicle equipment item.
Abstract: A belt strap for a safety belt of a vehicle includes a belt interior located between two belt strap layers, to which belt interior a gas can be applied. A gas passage connecting at least two sections of the belt interior is provided between the at least two belt strap layers. The gas passage is secured at a first end in the region of an end fitting of the safety belt. The gas passage, which is designed as a flexible tube, is secured within the belt interior with at least a second end, which is located opposite the secured first end.
Abstract: A modular construction system for producing a plurality of design variants of a roof module for a motor car includes a plurality of design-variant-specific adapter elements and a plurality of design-variant-specific planar elements. Using at least one adapter element, at least one respective planar element can be connected to a frame, forming a roof opening, in particular of a motor car shell.

Abstract: A compressor with a housing having an air guide section and a bearing section, and a moving part having a compressor wheel and a shaft connected to the compressor wheel in a pivot-proof manner. The shaft is pivot-supported in the bearing section, and the compressor wheel is accommodated in a first chamber of the air guide section in a pivoting manner. The shaft is driveable by an electric motor and at least one radial bearing and one axial bearing are provided for supporting the shaft in the bearing section, wherein the axial bearing has at least one magnetic bearing. The axial bearing includes at least one first bearing and a second bearing, the first bearing configured in the region of the compressor wheel and the second bearing is configured in the region of an end of the moving part facing away from the compressor wheel.
Abstract: A compressed gas tank (1) made from carbon fibre materials, which has a filling and removal neck, and a method for the production thereof, with the following steps: providing a fusible core, which forms an interior of the compressed gas tank (1), wrapping the core with at least one carbon fibre bandage and impregnating the carbon fibres with a curable polymer matrix material, thereby providing a preform of the compressed gas tank (1), consolidating the polymer matrix material of the preform and obtaining the carbon fibre composite compressed gas tank (1), and liquefying the core material by melting, and removing the liquid core material from the filling and removal neck.
Abstract: An arrangement of an air supply device on a cylinder head for an internal combustion engine involves the air supply device including an intake device for distributing air, which is to be supplied to combustion chambers of the engine, and a compressor for compressing the air. The compressor is fluidically connected to the intake device via an air duct element. The air supply device is mounted on the cylinder head and extends over the cylinder head from the intake device situated on an air side of the cylinder head, via the air duct element, to the compressor situated on an exhaust gas side of the cylinder head, forming an intermediate space that is delimited by the intake device, the air duct element, and the compressor. The cylinder head is at least partially situated in this intermediate space.
Abstract: Hybrid bipolar plate assemblies comprising a metal subassembly and a carbonaceous flow field insert can be used to provide for greater current densities from smaller volume fuel cell stacks. In particular, such hybrid bipolar plate assemblies allow for the combination of preferred oxidant channel structures, which can be formed in carbonaceous oxidant flow field inserts, with preferred smaller bipolar plate assembly thicknesses, which are possible with the use of metal plate subassemblies.

Abstract: A method for producing a brake disc (BS) for a vehicle, with a main body (G) of a metal material, in particular gray cast iron, which has friction surfaces (R). The friction surfaces (R) are coated with a coating of tungsten carbide, chromium carbide, and nickel or of tungsten carbide, cobalt and nickel and after-treated by carbonizing, carbonitriding, case hardening, gas nitriding, oxide nitriding, gas nitro carburizing, plasma nitriding, plasma oxidizing, borating, plasma carborating or plasma borating.
Abstract: A method for the production of a hollow profile, which is a cockpit cross-member for a motor vehicle, involves braiding endless fibers around a core that forms the inner contour of the hollow profile to produce a fibrous hollow structure. After the braiding, the fibrous hollow structure is, in the elastic state, removed from the core in a non-destructive manner, molded into an end contour by application of internal pressure and overmolded with a plastic.
Abstract: An airbag for a motor vehicle includes a support structure having a plurality of hollow body parts. The support structure is moveable from a storage position to a support position by inserting gas into the hollow body parts and by which a support volume of the airbag is at least partially covered in its support position. The airbag also includes at least one overflow opening via which the gas is able to be introduced into the support volume from at least one of the hollow body parts.
