Abstract: In a method for influencing the transverse dynamics of a vehicle, a transverse dynamics disturbance variable acting on the vehicle is detected by a disturbance variable determination device and a counter-yaw moment counteracting the transverse dynamics disturbance variable is produced. For this purpose, the dynamic transverse dynamics disturbance variable is detected by the disturbance variable determination device, and a first counter-yaw moment is produced to compensate at least partially for the dynamic transverse dynamics disturbance variable with the help of a first vehicle system. The first counter-yaw moment is reduced following the at least partial compensation, and with the help of the disturbance variable determination device, a check is made whether a stationary transverse dynamics disturbance variable exists. If so, a second counter-yaw moment is produced with the help of a second vehicle system to at least partially compensate for the stationary transverse dynamics disturbance variable.

Abstract: A wiper blade for a windscreen wiper of a motor vehicle includes a clamp for fixing a wiping element that wipes the screen during the wiping operation of the windscreen wiper. The clamp has a base plate with at least one contact element. The contact element is to be brought against a water deflector that restricts the wiping movement of the wiper blade during the wiping operation. The contact element is a cushioning element, which has a higher level of flexibility than the base plate.

Abstract: A method for detecting objects, wherein two images of a surrounding (1) are taken and a disparity image is determined by means of stereo image processing, wherein a depth map of the surrounding (1) is determined from the determined disparities, wherein a free space delimiting line (2) is identified, delimiting an unobstructed region of the surrounding (1), wherein outside and along the free space delimiting line (1) the depth card is segmented by segments (3) of a suitable width formed by pixels of the same or similar distance to an image plane, wherein a height of each segment (3) is estimated as part of an object (4.1 to 4.6) located outside of the unobstructed region in a way, such that each segment (3) is characterized by the two-dimensional position of the base (for example the distance and angle to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle) and the height thereof.
Abstract: A method to determine excessive clutch slippage in a transmission coupled to an engine and an electric machine adapted to selectively transmit power to an output member through selective application of torque-transfer clutches includes monitoring rotational velocities of the electric machine, engine and output member, monitoring a transmission operating range state, determining a clutch slip based upon monitored rotational velocities for one of the torque-transfer clutches intended to be synchronized based upon the transmission operating range state, and indicating a runaway slip event if the clutch slip is in excess of a threshold slip level through a threshold slip duration.

Abstract: A hybrid electric vehicle includes a wet clutch device that establishes and interrupts a connection between an engine and an electric motor, and a transmission switchable between a driving range in which driving force can be transmitted to driving wheels and a non-driving range in which transmission of the driving force is interrupted. When a battery temperature is greater than a warm-up determination value while the vehicle is at a standstill with the transmission switched to the non-driving range, the wet clutch device is kept disengaged. When the battery temperature is less than the warm-up determination value, a battery warm-up control unit switches the wet clutch device into engaged state to connect the engine and the electric motor together and vary driving force of the electric motor alternately to a positive side and a negative side so as to repeatedly charge and discharge the battery.
Abstract: A diagonal strut device (1) for reinforcing arrangement on an undercarriage of a motor vehicle. The diagonal strut device (1) has a plurality of struts (2) made from a fibre-reinforced plastic composite material, which extend away from a central joint element (3). Each strut (2) can be connected to the undercarriage via it's end facing away from the central joint element (3). For this, a connecting joint element (4) is arranged on the end of each strut (2) facing away from the central joint element (3). The central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are formed from a light metal material. The central joint element (3) and the connecting joint elements (4) are then connected to the struts (2) by an at least firmly bonded cast joint. Further, a method for the production of a diagonal strut device (1), as well as a motor vehicle undercarriage, which uses the diagonal strut device (1) for reinforcement.

Abstract: A method and a device for opening and closing a door (6.1) and/or a tailgate (6.2) of a vehicle (7), with which a person authorized to enter the vehicle is recognized and a movement of the authorized person is detected. The detected movement of the authorized person is analyzed and the opening and closing of the door (6.1) and/or tailgate (6.2) is initiated when the authorized person is recognized and the detected movement of the authorized person is identified as a previously determined movement.

Abstract: A sandwich component with a moisture barrier and a method for the production thereof. The sandwich component has at least one top layer (2) and one honeycomb core. The top layer (2) has a cover layer (2a) made from reinforcing fibres with a thermoplastic matrix, and the honeycomb has a cellulose-based material and has a plurality of webs (1). The top layer (2) has a barrier layer (2c) made from a thermoplastic material, the melting properties corresponding to the melting properties of the cover layer. An intermediate layer (2b) between the cover layer (2a) and the barrier layer (2c) has reinforcing fibres made from the cover layer (2a) and thermoplastic material of the barrier layer (2c). The reinforcing fibres are permeated by one proportion of the thermoplastic matrix material of the cover layer (2a) and by one proportion of the thermoplastic material of the barrier layer (2c).

Abstract: A modular production device for integral fibre semi-finished products and a method for the creation of endless fibre composite components having a hollow body structure after the production of such integral fibre semi-finished products. The modular production device has at least one moveably guided fibre guide tube (100), at least one base element (2, 2?) and a plurality of hollow bodies (7) that are separated from one another in a row by a gap (8) and that can be fastened to an inner wall of the base element (2, 2?). Each hollow body (7) has at least one base (6) at least on one side, wherein the gap (8) has a width that provides a passage for the fibre guide tube (100).
Abstract: The degradation associated with repeated startup and shutdown of solid polymer electrolyte fuel cells comprising PtCo alloy cathode catalysts can be particularly poor. However, a marked and unexpected improvement in durability is observed as a result of incorporating a selectively conducting component in electrical series with the anode components in the fuel cell.
