  • Patent number: 7236240
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for three-dimensional photogrammetric capture of an object with time resolution, comprising a first auxiliary assembly set on the object to be captured, a second auxiliary assembly and a single camera. The first auxiliary assembly is mobile relative to the second auxiliary assembly. The camera is placed, relative to the first and second auxiliary assemblies, so as to capture a relative movement between said two auxiliary assemblies and hence the position of the object according to a single perspective. The inventive method is characterised in that it comprises the following steps: preparing a first auxiliary assembly set on the object to be captured; preparing a second auxiliary assembly, relatively to which the object can move; and capturing, according to a single perspective, the relative position of the object, on the basis of the initial position of the first and second assemblies.

  • Patent number: 7234336
Abstract: A method and a tool are provided for producing structural parts from sheet metal which have a vault-structured stiffening zone and adjacent, flat connection zones. The starting point for producing these structural parts is vault-structured blanks which are smoothed in the region of the connection zones in the course of the forming, whereas the vault structure is retained unchanged in the region of the stiffening zone. These structural parts are produced by an embossing tool which has a die and a two-piece punch including of a fixing punch and a forming punch. In the process, the blank is first of all fixed relative to the fixing punch in the region of the vault-structured stiffening zone by a fixing element which is in a leading position with respect to the die. The connection zones are then shaped between the punch and the forming punch.

Abstract: An apparatus for forming production parts under internal high-pressure conditions, has an internal high-pressure forming tool which includes a top and a bottom die half and also can produce a fluidic internal high pressure inside the closed die. A support plate is movable in a reciprocating manner relative to a head plate, and a supporting means is pushed into the intermediate space produced in the closed state of the die between the lowered support plate and the head plate (9) and supports the two plates against one another during the forming operation while maintaining the distance between them.

  • Publication number: 20070142165
Abstract: The invention relates to method for operating a drive system for a motor vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine (1) and an electric machine (6), it being possible to accelerate a driveshaft (4) of the internal combustion engine by means of the electric machine (6), and in the event of an upshift and/or when an upshift is initiated, an idling rotational speed of the driveshaft (4) is increased by the electric machine (6). If a turbocharger is used to increase the charge pressure, an increase in the idling rotational speed by the electric machine can compensate for low efficiency of the turbocharger at low rotational speeds.

  • Patent number: 7231760
Abstract: The invention relates to an internal combustion engine which has charge-air supercharging by means of an exhaust-gas turbocharger and secondary air injection, the flow path of which is selected in such a way that the quantity of secondary air injected has an influence on the rotational speed of the turbocharger. By monitoring the rotational speed of the turbocharger, an increase in the rotational speed caused by the secondary air injection is determined, and the quantity of secondary air injected is worked out from the increase in rotational speed. This has the advantage that there is no need for complex temperature-measuring methods as have hitherto been employed. Rotational speed measurement can be carried out contactlessly and with absolutely no wear in particular by means of inductive rotational-speed sensors. Moreover, these inductive rotational-speed sensors can be miniaturized and produced at extremely low cost.

  • Patent number: 7233479
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for protecting a battery from electrostatic charging. In particular, the invention is directed to an electrically conductive covering for a vehicle battery having a plastic casing. The type of plastics typically used in casings for vehicle batteries have a tendency to develop electrostatic charges. The accumulation of such charges can result in flash overs that can damage the battery and, in certain circumstances, can result in explosions. The covering may be a film having a surface resistance of <1ยท109 ohms that is connected to one of the terminals of the battery, thus draining the electrostatic charges that might otherwise build up. The covering may be provided with various features, including ribbing that preserves the structural integrity of the covering as well as different structures to hold down the covering on the battery. The covering is designed so that it can be customized to fit various battery types and sizes and is also reusable.
