  • Publication number: 20060131980
Abstract: The invention provides a rotor for an electrical motor, a tool for making a rotor core and a method of making the rotor. The rotor could be incorporated e.g. in a line-start motor and comprises a squirrel cage and magnet located in a rotor core. The magnets are, in one end of the rotor, secured by an end plate with apertures which are larger than the magnet openings, and the end plate is indexed relative to the magnet slots such that a first portion of openings into the magnet slots is in communication with the aperture and such that a remaining, second, portion of the magnet slots is covered by the end plate. In one aspect, the end plate forms an integrated part of the rotor core and comprises openings cooperating with conductor slots to form through-going passages for conductors of the squirrel cage. In that way, the end plate is held in a completely fixed position by the squirrel cage which is moulded directly onto the core and into the conductor slots.

  • Publication number: 20060118032
Abstract: The invention provides an indicator for indicating a pressure difference. The indicator has a reference pressure chamber with two flexible wall parts being influenced to deflect upon pressures P1 and P2. The deflection of the wall parts changes a distance between each of the wall parts and an inflexible wall part of the chamber and by inspecting the difference, a pressure difference between P1 and P2 can be determined. To enable visual inspection, the chamber can be filled with an optically detectable fluid and one of the wall parts could be transparent to allow visual reading by determining a colour of the fluid layer below the transparent part.

  • Patent number: 7051840
Abstract: In a power unit comprising an engine (13) and an HST (24) which are formed into an integral body, a lubricating oil for use in the engine and an operating oil of the HST (24) are commonized. After being cooled, the common oil is fed from the side of the engine (13) to the HST (24). Such arrangement suppresses the drop in viscosity of the common oil and prevents the drop in efficiency and the occurrence of seizing on the side of the HST (24).

  • Patent number: 7054010
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for the optical analysis of a fluid, in which the fluid that has a first refractive index, is surrounded by an auxiliary fluid with a second refractive index, the first refractive index being larger than the second refractive index and light being sent through the fluid. It is endeavoured to obtain an encapsulation of the fluid in the auxiliary fluid at low cost. For this purpose, firstly the auxiliary fluid is led into a measuring channel, until it is filled, and then lead the fluid into the auxiliary fluid within the cross section with a flow speed, which generates a parabolic flow profile.

  • Patent number: 7050278
Abstract: Inrush currents in the dc intermediate circuit of a motor controller necessitate the incorporation of protection circuits. These circuits usually take the form of a resistor inserted in series with the intermediate circuit, and the resistor is short-circuited after completion of inrush by a switch positioned in parallel with the resistor. To reduce cable-transmitted electrical noise an earthed noise-decoupling capacitor is added to the intermediate circuit, but it also requires protection against inrush currents. To minimise the number of components, a protection circuit is described which combines noise filtration and inrush protection.

  • Patent number: 7036309
Abstract: An improved rotary spool control system for a closed hydrostatic circuit and method to use the same. The control spool utilizes metering of the spool notches and specifically the metering of the servo drain notch wherein the drain notch is of irregular cross sectional shape. Because of the metering and irregular cross sectional shape, this spool is able to provide an aggressive response while still having smooth linear control. The method of creating the feedback control includes displacing pressurized fluid through the hydrostatic circuit rotating the control spool to create an error signal removing the error signal with a control sleeve and metering the servo piston drain with the irregularly shaped metering porting notch.
