Abstract: A vinyl halide resin stabilizer composition which essentially contains:(a) a calcium, zinc or mixed calcium/zinc salt of a higher fatty acid;(b) a polyhydroxy alcohol component wherein at least 50% of this component is either di-or tri-pentaerythritol; and(c) a magnesium compound, particularly magnesium hydroxide or magnesium acetateThese compositions synergistically contribute to the heat stability of vinyl halide resin compositions and offer significant heat stabilization economies. Early color as well as long term heat stability performances of the metal salt compounds are improved in the compositions disclosed thereby permitting the reduction in amounts of such compounds needed for stabilization.

Abstract: A luggage marker including a strap for providing a strap loop including means for locking the strap in place as it is pulled tight during placement of the luggage marker about the handle of a piece of luggage. The luggage marker preferably includes an integrally molded hinged window for securing and protecting an identification tag within a tag receiving base portion integral with the strap.
Abstract: A process for the bulk or suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride in the presence of a redox catalyst system consisting of a peroxyester and a monosaccharide or a carboxylic acid ester of a monosaccharide.
Abstract: A highly efficient novel catalyst composition for ozone removal is made from(a) metallic silver deposited on a relatively high surface area metal substrate and(b) a composite of a relatively high surface area zirconia and oxides of manganese.
Abstract: A handle assembly is provided which can be releasably attached to a utensil side handle. The assembly includes a handle member having a connector end and an opposing outer end. The member includes an open channel extending along at least a major portion of its longitudinal axis. Within the channel is provided an elongated insert which is pivotally connected adjacent the handle member connector end. A lever means having a connector portion and a cammed engagement portion is secured to the insert. The connector portion is adapted to engage the utensil side handle, whereas the cammed engagement portion is adapted to releasably engage a rocker-arm assembly located proximate the handle member opposing outer end.The rocker-arm assembly being located adjacent the outer end of the handle member can be readily manipulated to connect with the cammed engagement portion of the lever.
Abstract: A process for the bulk or suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride or vinylidene chloride, in the presence of a redox catalyst system consisting of a peroxyester or a diacyl peroxide and a stannous or antimony (III) mercaptide.
