Abstract: A closure device for a container provided with at least three compartments open at the top of the container and angularly offset from one another around the container axis, including a cover mounted on top of the container, and presenting first and second dispensing openings, a cap covering the top of the container, enclosing the cover and provided with an outlet opening, and linkage connected between the cover and the cap for permitting the cap to rotate relative to the cover so that the outlet opening of the cap moves between the first and second dispensing openings and for causing the cap and cover to rotate as a unit when the cap outlet opening is aligned with one of the dispensing openings and the cap is rotating in the direction away from the other dispensing opening with respect to the angular path.
Abstract: A procedure is provided for the production of clean, dustless particulate granules from dusty, dirty particles by treatment with a composition comprising a liquid polymeric substance, illustratively, epoxidized soybean oil, and a solid, low molecular weight polymer having a melting point in the range of about 95.degree. to 105.degree. C., illustratively, a polyethylene vinyl acetate copolymer in the proportions of from 1 part of solid polymer to 1 part of liquid polymeric substance to 2 parts of solid polymer to 1 part of liquid polymeric substance. In one modification of the procedure, the ingredients were charged to a Papenmeir mixer and the mixer was run at 1500 RPM until a temperature of 95.degree. C. was reached. The resulting product comprised clean, dustless uniform beads.

Abstract: An improved ice cube making and storing system including an ice cube tray, a container for storing and/or serving ice cubes, and a lid for the container. The ice cube tray includes a plurality of separate freezing compartments for forming ice cubes, and incorporates a liquid drain arrangement so that excess water may be removed from the freezing compartments before the tray is transferred to the freezer. The lid may be used as a support for the liquid-filled ice cube tray, to catch any liquid overflow or spillage during filling or transfer to the freezer. The ice cube tray fits directly onto the open end of the ice cube container, so that ice cubes are ejected directly into the container from the tray.
Abstract: Polyethylene terephthalate molding compositions characterized by rapid crystallization are provided by combining polyethylene terephthalate and a filler or reinforcing agent with a crystallization-rate promoter comprising neopentyl dibenzoate.
Abstract: A supported high efficiency catalyst component for polyolefin production and methods of making and using the same are disclosed. An enhanced support made from the materials comprising a support base, an inorganic Lewis acid and an electron donor is combined with an active transition metal compound and optionally a second electron donor to form the catalyst component. Additionally, a dehydrating agent may be pre-combined with the support base in the production of the catalyst support. The methods of producing such catalyst supports and catalyst components are performed by milling in the absence of any solvent. Such catalysts produce polymer of such high quality and quantity that polymer extraction and polymer deashing are not necessary.
Abstract: A container with outwardly bowed walls having a removable divider with positioning flanges at its ends which are adapted to mate with similarly shaped surfaces formed in the side walls of the container.

Abstract: A resin stabilizer composition which essentially contains:(a) an organotin sulfur-containing compound, for example, organotin mercaptides, organotin mercaptoacids, organotin mercaptoacid esters, organotin sulfides, organothiostannoic acids and the like, and(b) an organic over-based complex of Group I or II-a metal bases, for example, barium phenate or sulfonate, an over-based calcium phenate or sulfonate or the like. These compositions remarkably contribute to the long term heat stability of vinyl halide resins. Furthermore, among other advantages, significant economies and synergistic resin heat stabilization are offered by these stabilizer compositions.
