  • Patent number: 7346319
Abstract: A system for use in a radio receiver that provides quick access to previously selected audio includes processor logic that evaluates at least a first user-selected audio that has been previously enabled and a second user-selected audio that is currently enabled. An input controller is dynamically coded by the processor logic for recalling audio information associated with the first user-selected audio when the second user-selected audio is being evaluated by the processor logic based upon the length of time the second user selected audio remains in an enabled state. The input controller is an audio recall button located on a user-interface of the receiver and includes an indicia window that displays recall information stored in memory of a processor during the evaluation of the second user-selected audio.

  • Patent number: 7337622
Abstract: A vehicle climate control system develops a fog index based on relative humidity at or near the inner surface of the windshield, and uses the fog index to variably override the normal control settings. The relative humidity is combined with a pair of humidity thresholds to form a dimensionless fog index, and fog index values within a predetermined range are applied to a variable path function for transitioning between existing control settings and control settings that maximize defogging.

  • Patent number: 7334321
Abstract: An automated wire harness machine is capable of manufacturing a wire harness in an automated process. The wire harness is generally a plurality of bundled, preferably un-stripped, insulated wires. Each un-stripped end portion of each wire is preferably terminated by an electrical terminal in one of a series of electrical connectors of the wire harness. Each connector has at least one wafer which houses a plurality of terminals. The wire harness machine utilizes a pallet that holds all of the wafers of one wire harness. A conveyor transports the pallet and wafers through a series of stations which perform automated manufacturing steps. The first station is a terminal inserter which inserts and locks the terminals within pre-assigned cavities of the wafers. The next station is an automated wire loader which measures, cuts and crimps the two ends of each wire into the respective terminals of the loaded wafer assembly.

  • Patent number: 7336510
Abstract: A power system for increasing a load start-up capability of a DC/AC converter includes a DC/AC converter, a processor coupled to the DC/AC converter and a memory subsystem coupled to the processor. The memory subsystem stores code that when executed by the processor instructs the processor to perform a number of steps. When an actual link voltage of a DC/AC converter falls below a predetermined link voltage level, when a commanded link voltage is set for a nominal link voltage level, the commanded link voltage is increased to link voltage level that is greater than the nominal link voltage level. The DC/AC converter is then restarted.

  • Patent number: 7332991
Abstract: A twin spark ignition apparatus having two high-voltage (HV) outputs incorporates features for balancing load capacitance on each HV output. The ignition apparatus provides a first high-voltage (HV) connection configured for direct mounting on a first spark plug, and a second HV connection for coupling to a second spark plug by way of an HV cable. The HV cable adds capacitance at the second HV output, as compared to a direct mount. The secondary winding is shifted by a predetermined distance, relative to the primary winding, in direction toward the direct mount end of the ignition apparatus. The shifting reduces the internal load capacitance at the second end (top), so that when the capacitance added by the HV cable is considered, the respective load capacitances are balanced. The voltage variation between the two HV outputs is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7331106
Abstract: A process for selectively depositing a filled underfill material onto a die surface without covering solder bumps present on the die. The process entails microjetting a polymer matrix material, a filler material, and optionally a fluxing material onto the die surface. Together, the polymer matrix and filler materials define the filled underfill material in which the filler material is dispersed to reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion of the underfill material. The resulting underfill material surrounds but does not cover the solder bumps. The die is then placed on a substrate on which a second underfill material is present, forming a composite underfill layer that completely fills the space between the die and substrate and forms a fillet on a peripheral wall of the die.
