Abstract: A modular display device includes a base member, the upper part of which has a projection which extends into a center hole in the lowermost of a plurality of identical vertically stacked modular members, each of which has a plurality of radially extending arms, each of which includes parallel opposite side walls, each of which is joined at an upper part thereof, to the adjacent wall of the adjoining arm, with which it forms a dihedral angle, by means of a triangular shaped element, the free side of which has a notch. The notches receive tongue elements of the next upper modular member, thereby attaching one modular member to another. The assembly is finished off at the top with an upper member the lower part of which is provided with tongues to be coupled to the upper part of the uppermost modular member.
Abstract: Apparatus provides for testing a fault indicator of the type which has a surge-current detection portion and a settable fault indicating portion and which is widely used in electric power distribution systems. Such a fault indicator must meet certain performance specifications including a maximum allowable reaction-time specification relating to the time required for the detection portion first to detect a surge current flowing in a conductor as a result of a down-line fault and then to set the fault indicating portion accordingly. The testing apparatus of this invention provides for effectively simulating field conditions, and to this end includes current-drive circuitry for supplying a test surge current to the fault indicator under test. Substantially simultaneously with the start of the test surge current, a timing-initiation signal is produced to enable interval-timing circuitry in the testing apparatus. To designate the end of the interval being timed, there is produced a timing-completion signal.
Abstract: Liquid natural gas is odorized with either ethyl or methyl mercaptan by initiallly mixing the odorant with a diluent and then introducing the resultant mixture into the liquid natural gas. It is preferred that the diluent have a freezing point below the boiling point of liquid natural gas. It is theorized that with the diluent the mercaptans either do not freeze or are dispersed sufficiently in the liquid natural gas to reduce the particle size of frozen odorant. In any event, the result is effective odorization of natural gas drawn from a liquid natural gas storage tank regardless of the amount of liquid and gaseous natural gas left in the tank.

Abstract: A system for determining the phase displacement of vibration data signals relative to tachometer point signals by synthesizing a sine wave signal having the amplitude of the vibration data signals, shifting the phase of the synthesized sine wave signal to null out the vibration data signals and determining the phase and amplitude of the synthesized sine wave signal relative to the tachometer point signals.

Abstract: The method of packaging perishable products in a container and insuring preservation of the products while in the container, which method consists in permanently sealing the opening of the container after the product is packaged thereafter forcing an inert fluid to expel the air from the container through a port entry and exhaust, then sealing the port entry and exhaust while in the process of purging, thus trapping the inert fluid in the container.
Abstract: A package for preserving perishable products, such as food and flowers, in which the product is in .[..[.an impermeable.]..]. .Badd.a .Baddend.container which has been purged, after the product is in the container, by forcing an inert gas through the container. The composite package includes the container enclosed in an inherently stable carton.
