  • Patent number: 6325100
Abstract: The invention pertains to a coupling for a liquid product packaging and dispensing assembly in which liquid is pumped from a container via the coupling through a tube to the point of use. The coupling has a first interconnectable member with a hollow post and a biased sleeve closing openings in the hollow post and a second interconnectable member with a hollow sheath and a biased piston closing an opening at the end of the sheath. The parts are configured so that, upon connection, the post unseats the piston while the sheath displaces the sleeve, thereby allowing liquid flow. An elastic ring is present between the sheath and the sleeve which ring is compressed in the axial direction and expanded in the radial direction toward the post so as to establish a close fit around the post.

  • Publication number: 20010039501
Abstract: A method is described for supplying management services from a service center for a plurality of industrial cleaning processes or machines at remote sites and/or operated by different organizations. A local unit is provided at each process or machine, which is programmed to forward process/machine information with a process/machine identification to the service center. The information received from the local units is processed in a service center computer to obtain management reports on the process or operation of the machines. In a system for monitoring a plurality of industrial cleaning processes or machines operated by at least one organization, each process or machine uses a local unit with a plurality of sensors for sensing operating parameters of the process or machine. The sensors provide parameter dependent signals to the local unit and the local unit stores the operating parameter data.

  • Patent number: 6277153
Abstract: A chemical cleaning system for a multi-tank or a single-tank laundry washing machine, having at least two separate components for aqueousdissolution or dilution to respective use concentrations, a first component comprising a proteolytic enzyme, and a second component comprising an imidoperoxycarboxylic acid, particularly phthaloylaminoperoxycaprbic acid (PAP), wherein the first component is introduced into a prewash zone or step, and the second component is introduced into a main wash zone or step. When using this system, it was found that effective cleaning could be obtained even at relatively low main wash temperatures of 45-55° C. As a result, much less energy was needed and a considerable reduction of textile damage was observed as compared with cleaning systems of the prior art.
