Abstract: A zipper profile for a fastener assembly is provided. The profile includes a male element and a female element. The female element has a pair of jaws that are movable with respect to one another about a common fulcrum region, and a pair of arms each of which are coupled to a corresponding one of the pair of jaws at the fulcrum region. Each of the arms has an end opposite from the fulcrum region that is shaped for engagement with a slider, and the jaws have an open position and a closed position. The arms are disposed to cause movement of the jaws between the closed position and the open position when the arms experience displacement about the fulcrum region. Displacement about the fulcrum region may be effectuated by motion of a slider relative to the arms. The male element is captured by the female element when the jaws are in the closed position and released when the jaws are in the open position.

Abstract: Hair treatment compositions are provided which have conditioning benefits and which contain a fatty acid polyester of a polyol selected from cyclic polyols, sugar derivatives and mixtures thereof, in which at least 50% by weight of the total fatty acid moieties of the polyester are C20 or higher unsaturated fatty acid moieties. Specific examples of suitable fatty acid polyesters are sucrose trierucate, sucrose pentaerucate, sucrose tetraerucate, sucrose trirapeate, sucrose tetrarapeate, and sucrose pentarapeate, and mixtures thereof. The compositions are typically in the form of shampoos or conditioners and give surprisingly improved overall conditioning, in particular hair softness.

Abstract: A buoyancy system for a deep water floating platform includes at least one buoyancy module coupled to the a riser. The module may be coupled to a ring structure of an end cap coupled to the riser, or two modules may be coupled to a ring structure to couple them together. The modules have an interior flange extending into the interior cavity and abutting the ring structure. Fasteners couple the interior flange of the module to the ring structure to form an interior attachment. A seal may be formed between the flange of the buoyancy module and the ring structure, and may include a seal member disposed in a groove. A test port extends to the groove to allow testing of the seal. The module may include a material and may have a thickness that together allow a wall of the buoyancy module to expand outwardly under an internal pressure and force the flange against the ring structure to enhance sealing between the flange and ring structure.
Abstract: A conveyor module adapted to receive products thereon for translating and simultaneously rotating the product 90° in going from its infeed end to its outfeed end. An endless chain is deployed about spaced-apart sprocket wheels, one at the infeed end and one at the outfeed end and a plurality of product support plates are linked to the chain by a coupler that permits rotation of the support plate about an axis that is perpendicular to the support plate. The support plate carries a cam follower that is adapted to engage a cam track that is configured to impart the 90° rotation to the support plate as the endless chain carries the support plate between the infeed end and the outfeed end.
Abstract: The conditioning performance of small particle size emulsified silicone in a surfactant-based shampoo composition can be significantly boosted by the inclusion in the shampoo composition of an amino functionalised silicone. Accordingly, the invention provides an aqueous shampoo composition comprising, in addition to water:
i) at least one surfactant chosen from anionic, nonionic, zwitterionic or amphoteric surfactants or mixtures thereof;
ii) an amino functionalised silicone; and
iii) emulsified particles of an insoluble, non-amino functionalised silicone, in which the average silicone particle size of the emulsified non-amino functional silicone in the shampoo composition is less than 2 microns.
