Abstract: A multistation transfer press (10) is provided. Cross bar assemblies (28) transfer work pieces (12) between adjacent press stations (14) in transfer press ten (10). Each cross bar assembly (28) moves work pieces (12) between adjacent press stations (14). Motions of cross bar assemblies (28) is provided by raising and lowering transfer rails (22) and (24) along with reciprocating cross bar assemblies (28) along transfer rails (22) and (24). Cross bar assemblies (28) are operable to dynamically orient work pieces (12) during transfer between adjacent press stations (14). Additionally, a portion of the motion of cross bar assemblies (28) occurs while upper dies (20) and lower dies (18) are separated by less than a maximum distance.

Abstract: Process for preparing a flavoring composition suitable as a butter flavor block by subjecting triglyceride fats, fatty acids or fatty acid derivatives to oxidizing conditions, comprising:(a) admixing an anti-oxidant to triglyceride fats, fatty acids or fatty acid derivatives at least to a concentration which is sufficient to increase the induction period of the fat by a factor of 1.5,(b) heating the mixture for 0.5 hours-1 week at 50.degree.-150.degree. C. under access of atmospheric oxygen and in the presence of water, under the condition that the triglyceride fats, fatty acids or fatty acid derivatives contain at least one poly-unsaturated fatty acid with an omega-3 non-conjugatable double bond system in an amount of >0.01 wt. %. Such fatty acids or derivatives of fatty acid are preferably obtained by partially hydrogenating a natural vegetable glyceride fat.

Abstract: A solid detergent composition and a method of using the composition in a machine dishwasher is described. The product contains a first layer having an oxygen bleaching system, a buffering system of a builder, and an enzyme. The first layer dissolves to deliver a pH of about 8.5 to about 11 in the wash water. A second layer includes an effective amount of an acidity agent selected from an inorganic acid, an organic acid and mixtures thereof, a continuous medium having a melting point in the range of from about 55.degree. C. to about 70.degree. C. and an anti-scaling agent. The second layer dissolves in wash water to deliver a pH of from about 6.5 to about 9.

Abstract: A spiral wound instant pasta solid sauce composite noodle is disclosed which employs selected dusting agents and solid sauce interleaved within the spiral to insure unrolling of the spiral upon subsequent boiling. A method for the preparation of the sauce and the noodle is also disclosed along with a system for packing the noodles in flexible envelopes to reduce breakage of the noodles and to permit inclusion of noodles longer than the flexible package filling aperture and reducing the incidence of perforation of the package.

Abstract: The invention relates to an explosive charge assembly for cutting tubular members, particularly underwater. The assembly is lowered into the tubular member to a distance where the cut is to be performed. A shaped charge carrier has a pair of parallel circular plates, a casing unitary connected to the plates and a truncated shaped charge liner. An inflatable bladder surrounding the casing expands to create a stand off distance between the wall of the tubular member and the shell of the assembly. A plurality of centralizer members allow to adjust position of the shell in the tubular member prior to detonation.

Abstract: Natural skin care composition containing selected hydroxylated vitamin D compounds or their glycosides, which are derived from plant sources (phytovitamins D). The plant extracts must contain a critical minimum concentration of the phytovitamin D (measured in equivalents of 1,25-(OH).sub.2 D in order to induce cell differentiation. In the alternative, phytovitamin D, especially phytovitamin D glycoside, is employed in conjunction with a plant-derived glycosidase.

Abstract: The monitor for uncommanded braking controls uncommanded brake application on one or more wheels during takeoff of an aircraft. Brake pedal application is determined, brake pressure is measured, and brake pressure is compared with a selected threshold brake pressure. A brake pressure applied signal is generated when the brake pressure exceeds the threshold brake pressure. The pedal application signal and brake pressure applied signal are received by a fault latch logic circuit that generates a fault latch output signal when uncommanded braking has occurred. A test inhibit signal is also generated when weight is not applied on the wheel. The test inhibit signal is also input to the fault latch logic circuit so that uncommanded braking can occur when the aircraft is in the air and weight is off the wheel. The monitor disables or latches off the shutoff valve when pressure is detected without pedal application.

Abstract: The present invention relates to liquid detergent compositions comprising linear or cross-linked, water soluble, highly salt-tolerant, nonionic polymers of MW 10,000 to 1,000,000 Daltons which, when added to structured heavy duty liquids makes the liquid highly shear thinning without decreasing pour viscosity of the composition or increasing it to a point where it is too thick. The compositions are also stable.

Abstract: In a grate cooler, the unstable state which is attributable to an unusually strong accumulation of the combustion material is prevented by the fact that the waste air from the cooler, which is to be fed as secondary air to the kiln, is injected with water. This is expediently carried out in the inlet region of the cooler in dependence upon the temperature and/or the pressure of the secondary air in the kiln hood.
