Abstract: In an adjusting device for wheel brake cables of a manually-operated parking brake, said cables are held in a yoke and are connected by means of the deflection element to a cable, which is fastened to a foot pedal for actuation. Through the intermediary of an adjustable compensating element, the yoke is braced by means of a spring element against a bracing member on a pull rod. The compensating element can be fixed by means of a setscrew in different inclined positions in relation to the bracing member; and, corresponding to this bracing member, the compensating element can be displaced on the pull rod and can be fixed on the pull rod by means of a threaded nut.

  • Publication number: 20030074796
Abstract: A hydraulically and/or pneumatically actuated cutting tool is provided having a housing with a piston assembly slidably disposed between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The piston assembly comprises a seal which is operable between two positions. In a first position the seal produces a substantially water-tight seal between the piston and the interior surface of the housing. As a result, fluid entering the chamber through the fluid inlet advances the piston assembly toward the fluid outlet. In a second position a gap is formed between the seal and the interior surface of the housing such that fluid communication is established between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. As the fluid is removed from the housing through the fluid outlet, a spring biases the piston assembly back to its original resting position.

  • Patent number: 6547060
Abstract: The present invention concerns a conveying device with an endless conveyor belt, which has catches extending essentially transverse to the conveying direction. In order to further develop a previously known conveying device so that small bulk articles, which tend to stick, are reliably removed from the conveying device at an end point of the conveying device, which cannot be reached satisfactorily with the known devices for stripping, it is proposed that the catches be deepened trough-like or elevated ridge-like modifications of the conveying surface in comparison with the conveying plane, and that the catches can be completely swept by means of at least one stripper lying elastically against the conveying surface.
