Abstract: A crossmember for an instrument panel of a vehicle, especially a passenger car, which can be mounted, crosswise, in the vehicle forestructure, with its ends being mounted on opposite body components. The crossmember comprises a tubular main support bar, several mounting brackets attached to the main support bar at a distance from one another and designed for use in fastening the crossmember to the body of the vehicle, and at least one bracket designed to hold a bolt-on component of the instrument panel. At least one flat alignment surface is formed on the main support bar via internal high-pressure metal forming, and the bracket is equipped with one or more flat stop surfaces that rest against the alignment surface.
Abstract: An ultrasonic system useful for providing imaging, therapy and temperature monitoring generally comprises an acoustic transducer assembly configured to enable the ultrasound system to perform the imaging, therapy and temperature monitoring functions. The acoustic transducer assembly comprises a single transducer that is operatively connected to an imaging subsystem, a therapy subsystem and a temperature monitoring subsystem. The ultrasound system may also include a display for imaging and temperature monitoring functions. An exemplary single transducer is configured such that when connected to the subsystems, the imaging subsystem can generate an image of a treatment region on the display, the therapy subsystem can generate high power acoustic energy to heat the treatment region, and the temperature monitoring subsystem can map and monitor the temperature of the treatment region and display the temperature on the display, all through the use of the single transducer.
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes an end region and a receptacle arranged in the end region. The end region includes a pan made at least partially of a fiber reinforced plastic, and the pan functions as an impact deformable element.
Abstract: The invention relates to an intake system for an internal-combustion engine having an air conduit, particularly an air pipe, whose end is captively and releasably fastened to an opening of a component of the internal-combustion engine. Receiving elements for fastening devices are provided at the opening of the component, which fastening devices reach through bearing sleeves fastened to the end of the air conduit.
Abstract: A fastening device for a belt roller in a motor vehicle is inserted in a cutout of a vehicle body part and is connected on an edge side with the vehicle body part. In order to create a fastening device for a belt roller which permits improved fastening, the cutout can be constructed in the vehicle body part such that the cutout is closed in a surrounding manner.

Bearings for suspension links are provided on the side members, and a transmission assembly is disposed in the chassis frame between the side members and the cross members. The side member structure of each side comprises in each case two members which are arranged above one another and which have a through-opening for axle shafts of the transmission assembly between one another and converge approximately at the end side and are connected with the cross members. By way of a three-point bearing, the transmission assembly is connected with the cross members and the side members, and the axle shafts of the assembly extend through the through-opening toward the wheel.
Abstract: A process for carrying out a multi-phase reaction in a continuously operated tube reactor operated according to the counter current principle in which reactor components of a liquid phase flowing downwards as a thin film in said tube reactor and components of a continuous gas flowing upward in said tube reactor are brought to material transfer, or reaction respectively. The gas phase is pulsed, by repeated temporary pressure lowering at the gas entry into said tube reactor and/or repeated temporary pressure increase at the gas exit from said tube reactor, to counteract film thickness growth and liquid phase stagnation.
