Abstract: A method for forming and joining workpieces by a magnetic field produced by a current impulse applied through a high current loop, whereby the magnetic field exerts a force from outside on an electrically conducting workpiece or on electrically conducting compression rings encircling the workpiece, wherein the current impulse begins in the form of a half sine wave defined by the equation (.omega.t=0 . . . .pi.); and then fades away as defined by the equation (.omega.t>.pi. . . . .infin.).
Abstract: In a device for filtering harmonic signal components which are created during the scanning of a scale graduation by means of at least one scanning graduation, the graduation marking of the scale or the scanning graduation have a definite shift with respect to equidistant spacing intervals. The shift is chosen such that the signal components of the n-th even harmonic are eliminated by virtue of the resulting phase shift while at the same time the phase position for the signal components of the fundamental wave remains constant and thus independent of the scanning site. In particular, the depth of modulation of the fundamental wave is not reduced.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method for producing a sterile prednisolone gel. The method is characterized in that prednisolone or its pharmaceutically acceptable ester is sterilized and incorporated into a sterile polyacrylate gel, which has been per se conventionally produced, in appropriate amount under aseptic conditions, or else the sterile prednisolone or its pharmaceutically acceptable ester is suspended in a part of the amount of water required for producing the polyacrylate suspension and is then homogenously incorporated into the polyacryate, which is then made into a gel.

Abstract: A method is disclosed of operating an injection molding machine including a hydraulic device (1) which has an asynchronous main drive motor (10) driving a hydraulic pump (2). The injection molding machine is operated in an injection molding cycle with a cooling phase and a phase in which an injection molding tool is opened following the cooling phase. It is determined before commencement of the injection molding cycle if the duration of the cooling phase is above a minimum duration. If the duration of the cooling phase is above the minimum duration the asynchronous main drive motor (10) is switched off after or at commencement of the cooling phase and is switched on again before commencement of the phase in which the injection molding tool is opened. Electrical energy is saved by switching off the main drive motor in dependence on the cycle.

Abstract: In a device for photothermically testing a surface (1) of a moving test specimen (2), an excitation beam (5) may be applied to a test area (13). The excitation beam (5) passes through an aperture (12) in a collecting lens (11) that reproduces the thermal radiation generated in a measuring area (14), so that the collecting lens (11) may be adapted to a wavelength of the excitation beam (5) passed to a detector (20). A coupling mirror (9) mounted in the path of excitation beam (5) has practically total reflectivity for the wavelength of the excitation beam (5) and is arranged in such a way that it is very small near the focal area of the excitation beam (5), so that together with the aperture (12) of the collecting lens (11) it only masks a small part of the thermal radiation (17) passed to the detector (20).
Abstract: A reinforced fastening point for a plastics-material casing. In order to provide a reinforcement for a fastening point which is simple to assemble and which is held automatically in the opening in the casing without further fasteners, a cylindrical opening is provided at the fastening point on the casing. The reinforcement part corresponding thereto is constructed as a frustum in that region which in the assembled state comes to rest in the region of the cylindrical opening. The smaller external diameter of this frustum is smaller than or equal to the internal diameter of the cylindrical opening. The larger external diameter of the frustum, on the other hand, has an excess dimension with respect to the internal diameter of the cylindrical opening. In this case, the excess dimension is selected to be such that it can be neutralized by resilient deformation of the reinforcement part.
Abstract: A passenger car body includes a top constructed as a roof which covers a passenger compartment above a belt line of the body. So that the occupants have particularly good viewing conditions while the venting of the passenger compartment is good, the removable top has roof frames which bound the side windows and between which--viewed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle--there extend several transparent roof sections.

Abstract: A body structure for a rear carriage of a vehicle, particularly a convertible has a folding-top compartment and a rear wall which is disposed in front of the folding-top compartment and which is connected to a floor and laterally exterior side rail structures. The folding-top compartment bottom is connected with the rear wall. For increasing the torsional and bending rigidity of the body structure, the forces transmitted from the rearward chassis to the body structure are, on the one hand, directed by way of the adjoining side rail structures and, on the other hand, by way of an upper cross member into a central force flux center point. Depending on the load, the forces at the central force flux center point are transmitted into several members of a rear-wall-side hollow member structure. The ends of the members of the hollow member structure which face away from the force flux center point are connected to the exterior side rail structures.
Abstract: Control signals for electric consumers in vehicle doors and l.f. signals for loudspeakers in vehicle doors are transferred from a control apparatus (1) provided outside of the door over a common data line (42, 43) to a door module (20, 30). For this purpose, in the control apparatus (1) the control signals are modulated in binary-coded form onto a carrier signal and onto the same carrier signal there is also modulated the l.f. audio signal. In the door module 30) the signals are demodulated and separated according to frequency. The l.f. signals are amplified and fed to a loudspeaker (4, 5). The control signals are evaluated by a micro-controller (24, 34) and they control over switching stages (23, 33), setting elements (6, 7) provided in the door. Conversely there is also possible a data transfer from the door module (2, 3) to the control apparatus (1).

Abstract: A scanning grating is provided in a photo-electric position measuring system and the scanning grating includes several grating areas. Each one of these grating areas has a transverse grating with a graduation period. The transverse gratings of the grating areas are disposed offset by TT/4 perpendicularly to the measuring direction, i.e., in the Y direction, with respect to each other. The partial light beams diffracted at the scanning grating in the +1st and -1st order lead to an intensity modulation at a defined scanning distance Z1. An amplitude grating is provided at the location of this intensity modulation, so that by means of downstream disposed photo-detectors a scanning signal is generated by the +1st diffraction order and a scanning signal, which is phase-shifted by 180.degree. with respect to the first, is generated by the -1st diffraction order.
