  • Patent number: 5770709
Abstract: Water-soluble azo compounds, processes for their preparation and their use as dyestuffs.Water-soluble azo compounds are described which have fiber-reactive properties and are suitable as dyestuffs for dyeing material, in particular fiber material, containing hydroxy and/or carboxamide groups, such as, for example, cellulosic fiber materials, such as those of cotton, wool or nylon, and which have, as the radical of a diazo component, a radical of the formula ##STR1## in which R is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halogen or sulfo, R.sup.o is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halogen, carboxy, aminocarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, sulfo or phenyl and R.sup.10 is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or halogen, and which contain a fiber-reactive radical bonded to the coupling component via an amino group.

  • Patent number: 5760193
Abstract: Fiber-reactive azo dyes, processes for their preparation and their useAzo dyes of the formula (1) given and defined below are described, which dyes contain fiber-reactive groups and dye hydroxy- and/or carboxamido-containing materials, in particular fiber materials, such as cotton, wool and synthetic polyamide fibers, in shades of high color strength and good fastness properties. ##STR1## in which D is the radical of a diazo component from the benzene or naphthalene series, K is the radical of a coupling component of the formula (2) ##STR2## in which M is hydrogen or an alkali metal, a and b are each zero or 1, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, Y is attached to --NR.sup.1 -- or --NR.sup.

  • Patent number: 5696258
Abstract: According to the invention, a process for the preparation of triphendioxazines symmetrically or asymmetrically amidated on both sides comprises reducing a triphendioxazine chromophore, which is optionally already amidated on one side, to give the leuco form and amidating and re-oxidizing the leuco form. Products amidated on both sides are obtained in this manner with a high yield and product quality. Novel triphendioxazine dyestuffs are furthermore prepared in this manner.
