Abstract: Present invention relates to an electronic reading apparatus with data security and anti-theft functions. The electronic reader apparatus has a code input unit for receiving a security code, and a code determining unit for determining an authenticity of the security code. When no security code, no authentic security code or even no operational signal has been received during the predetermined periods of time, a central control unit may stop a power supply unit from outputting power in order to turn off the electronic reader apparatus and clear the image shown on a display unit. As such, a content of sensitive or confidential data stored in the electronic reading apparatus may not be intruded.
Abstract: A device for activating a horn of a motor vehicle by a remote transmitter independent of a vehicle user includes a receiver and a control unit. The receiver is implemented to receive an activation signal from the remote transmitter. The control unit is implemented to activate the horn of the motor vehicle in response to the activation signal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for placing at least one material layer onto a relief mold for producing a composite material. Thereby, an elastically-reversibly deformable body with a surface relief that is designed to correspond to the relief mold is pressed against the material layer, as a result of which the surface of said body is deformed, and the material layer can be picked up. As a result of its elastically-reversible characteristics the body subsequently deforms back to its initial state so that the material layer can easily be placed onto the relief mold.

This front plane laminate can be prepared as a continuous web, cut to size, the release sheet removed and the laminate laminated to a backplane to form a display. Abstract: A tending module for a series of electrolysis cells designed for the manufacture of aluminum by igneous electrolysis, each cell including a series of anodes provided with a metal rod designed to fix and electrically connect the anodes to a metal anode frame. The tending module includes a frame to be fixed to a mobile component, and at least one anode handling unit connected to the frame. The module also includes, integral with the anode handling unit, an activator that can exert at least one force or impulse on the anode rod, with a force such that, although the stem is firmly maintained in contact against the anode frame, the contact surfaces are moved in relation to each other by an amount sufficient for electrical contact to be improved. Advantageously, the activator is a jack or an impulse generator integral with the anode clamp.
Abstract: The invention relates to the fabrication of integrated circuits in general, and notably the circuits of image sensors intended to form the electronic core of photographic apparatus or cameras. The chip is first aligned with respect to the package and then the package is aligned with respect to the optical system. The alignment of the chip with respect to the package is done optically. The alignment of the package with respect to the system is done mechanically with respect to the edges of the package. According to the invention, provision is made for optical marks to be provided on the package, these marks each having an edge aligned with a lateral edge of the package, so as to minimize the positioning errors which would be due to inaccurate positioning of the chip with respect to the edges of the package.

Abstract: A system of electronically active inks is described which may include electronically addressable contrast media, conductors, insulators, resistors, semiconductive materials, magnetic materials, spin materials, piezoelectric materials, optoelectronic, thermoelectric or radio frequency materials.
