Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing conjugates comprising or consisting of a metallic nanoparticulate component and an organic component. Said method enables activated or reactive nanoparticles containing metal to be produced by irradiating a metal body with a laser beam and prevents the modification and damage of organic components of said conjugates by laser irradiation. Said nanoparticulate metallic component comprises plasmon resonant metal. According to the invention, the claimed method of production enables particles having a metal centre and a metal-oxide covering to be produced, in particular when using a carrier fluid containing oxygen, e.g. alcohol or water.

Abstract: A large area display comprises multiple sub-units arranged in rows and columns. Each sub-unit has associated row and column drivers, with the column driver driving the column electrodes of all the sub-units a column. A chip select means provides a separate chip select signal to each row of sub-units, so that only one row of sub-units are scanned at a time, and all the sub-units in the selected row are scanned simultaneously. Column data are supplied to the column drivers as a linear series of column data values; and delayed Gate Start Pulse signals are fed to the column drivers in each column of sub-units after the first so that these column drivers receive the delayed Gate Start Pulse signals and apply the appropriate column data values to their associated column electrodes.

Abstract: An exemplary driving member and an exemplary array module formed by a plurality of the driving members are disclosed in the invention. The driving member includes a first suspending beam module, a second suspending beam module and a conductive suspending beam module. When a voltage is provided between the first suspending beam module and the second suspending beam module, or the first suspending beam module and the second suspending beam module are provided with two homopolar voltages, when the electric field force is larger than the deforming force threshold of the first suspending beam, the first suspending beam moves to contact with the conductive suspending beam module, so that the first suspending beam has a voltage same with the conductive suspending beam module. When the electric field force is smaller than the deforming force threshold of the first suspending beam, the first suspending beam module rebounds to an original state.

Abstract: Described is a method for preparing a coating composition comprising a fluorine and silicon containing polymer, with a reactive diluent, and optionally non-reactive oligomeric additives, crosslinkers, or inorganic particles, which upon curing provides coatings with a good balance of adhesion, mechanical properties, scratch resistance, low surface energy, repellency, and transparency. The coatings are useful as a topcoat, particularly in optical applications.
Abstract: In a method and a machine for testing an electronic device, in which the magnetic field emitted is measured by a monodirectional measurement probe, a first value of the component Bz of the magnetic field along axis ZZ? is measured by the probe and recorded. The probe and the electronic device are displaced with respect to one another by relative pivoting about an axis XX? orthogonal to axis ZZ?, according to an angular amplitude of less than 90° while maintaining distance d0 and, for each position (x, y) of axis ZZ?, a second value of component Bz of the magnetic field along axis ZZ? is measured by the probe and recorded, then the value of component By of the magnetic field along axis YY? orthogonal to axes ZZ? and XX? is determined and recorded on the basis of the first value and the second value which have been obtained.
