  • Patent number: 7951635
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the compensation of deviations occurring as a result of manufacture in the manufacture of micromechanical elements and their use which should be deflected at a resonant frequency. It is therefore the object of the invention to compensate deviations which occur due to manufacture and which have an influence on the resonant frequency of micromechanical elements in a simple and cost-effective manner. In accordance with the invention, a procedure is followed such that additional trenches and/or recesses are formed at the deflectable element simultaneously with the forming of the trenches by dry etching with which at least one spring element, a deflectable element and optionally also a frame element of micromechanical elements are formed. The trenches and recesses can thereby be formed under the same respective process parameters at the respective micromechanical element or at all micromechanical elements of a batch.

  • Patent number: 7950293
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for measuring flow rates in liquid melts in a temperature range above 200 DEG C. using an ultrasonic generator and to an associated ultrasonic waveguide according to the ultrasonic Doppler method. The aim of the invention is to provide good signal incoupling and outcoupling. This is achieved by the preparation of the wettability of the end face of the ultrasonic waveguide before the measuring operation, subsequent direct incoupling of ultrasonic measuring signals into the melt at an angle that is not equal to 90 DEG, achieved by the immersion of the end face of the ultrasonic waveguide into the melt, outcoupling of the ultrasonic signals reflected in the melt via the end face of the ultrasonic waveguide and routing of said signals to an evaluation circuit. To prepare the wettability of the end face, the latter is mechanically and chemically cleaned and subsequently coated with a suitable material.

  • Publication number: 20110123090
Abstract: A method for determining a contour of an object in a digital image includes determining a preliminary object center and determining contour candidate image points. The contour candidate image points are determined as image points on a plurality of paths leading away from a preliminary object center by detecting a change from a first section to a second section on a feature space based on the image point value range of the digital image or by detecting the exceeding of a predetermined strength of a feature change in the feature space, wherein the contour candidate image points have a distance to the preliminary or to an improved object center and are ordered according to a polar angle. Further, the method includes determining zones of neighboring contour candidate image points within which a change of the distance of the contour candidate image points lies above a threshold value and an elimination of contour candidate image points which lie between the zones of neighboring contour candidate image points.
