Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention provides a ventilated seat with a valve sheet having one or more valve assemblies. The valve sheet maybe on a frame of the seat. The valve assemblies open in response to a force such as a force applied by an individual occupying the seat. In another aspect, the present invention provides a method of thermally regulating a seat by occupying a seat with a valve sheet. By occupying the seat one or more valves assemblies open air moving though the open valve assemblies thermally regulates the seat.

Abstract: A blister package is provided in which the lidding component includes a tear-resistant nonwoven layer and a barrier layer wherein the controlled delamination of the nonwoven layer increases the puncture resistance, thereby improving the child-resistant properties of the package.
Abstract: This invention relates to an organotin-based catalyst system for polyurethane synthesis that is useful in coatings applications. The catalyst has low activity in the absence of oxygen. When a coating mixture comprising the catalyst is sprayed and/or applied to a substrate as a thin film in air, the catalyst is activated. For solvent-based refinish systems comprising hydroxyl and isocyanate species at high solids levels, the catalyst system therefore provides extended viscosity stability, i.e., pot life.
Abstract: Nucleotide sequences of a Msca1 gene, critical to male fertility in plants are described, with DNA molecule and amino acid sequences set forth. Promoter sequences and their essential regions are also identified. The nucleotide sequences are useful in impacting male fertility in plants.

Abstract: A floating watercraft port system is provided which allows for a designer to develop a port assembly of a desired configuration. The system comprises an entry member, an extension member and a bulkhead. The entry member comprises a cradle having an entrance section; and the extension member has a cradle which extends the full length of the extension member and is open at opposite ends of the extension member. Bulkheads are positioned on the entry and/or extension members at desired positions to delineate the forward ends of watercraft receiving cradles.
Abstract: In a multilayer mirror (1) for the reflection of EUV radiation containing a large number of alternating molybdenum layers (4) and silicon layers (3), a barrier layer (5) containing a silicon nitride or a silicon boride is included at a number of interfaces between the molybdenum layers (4) and the silicon layers (3). As a result of the barrier layers (5) of a silicon nitride or of a silicon boride, high thermal stability is achieved, in particular high long-term stability at temperatures of more than 300° C., whilst at the same time achieving high reflectivity in the multilayer mirror. A multilayer mirror (1) of this type can, in particular, be used as a heatable collector mirror for an EUV radiation source.

Abstract: A method is disclosed of fabricating micromechanical components provided with free-standing microstructures or membranes with predetermined mechanical stress, by initially depositing a sacrificial layer on a substrate followed by depositing a polysilicon layer on the sacrificial layer by a gaseous phase deposition and, finally, at least partial removal of the sacrificial layer. During deposition of the polysilicon layer, the process pressure selected determined the type of stress in the polysilicon layer, and the value of the stress is set by the process temperature selected. The process pressure is above the pressure range used in LPCVD reactors.

Abstract: Provided is a transparent and light-weight ballistic resistant safety glazing comprising an ionomer sheet. The ionomer sheet comprises an ionomer derived from a parent acid copolymer that comprises copolymerized units of an ?-olefin having 2 to 10 carbon atoms and, based on the total weight of the acid copolymer, about 20 to about 30 wt % of copolymerized units of an ?,?-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms. The ionomer is neutralized to a level of about 5% to about 90%, based on the total carboxylic acid content of the acid copolymer, and further comprises at least one cation. Further provided are articles comprising the light-weight ballistic resistant safety glazing.
