  • Publication number: 20100290517
Abstract: Systems and methods for the demodulation of pulse edge modulated signals for communications systems which are useful in body implanted electronics. A pulse edge modulated signal is generated by retarding or advancing each pulse edge of a carrier to be modulated relative to its original position in time, depending on the state of the digital bit to be modulated on that edge. Each modulated edge of a pulse edge modulated signal is demodulated by determining the position in time of the modulated edge relative to the original respective position of the modulated edge prior to modulation.

  • Publication number: 20100287983
Abstract: A process and an apparatus are disclosed for a compact processing assembly to recover ethane, ethylene, and heavier hydrocarbon components from a hydrocarbon gas stream. The gas stream is cooled and divided into first and second streams. The first stream is further cooled, expanded to lower pressure, heated, and its liquid fraction is supplied as a first top feed to an absorbing means. The second stream is expanded to lower pressure and supplied as a bottom feed to the absorbing means. A distillation vapor stream from the absorbing means is combined with the vapor fraction of the first stream, then cooled by the expanded first stream to form a condensed stream that is supplied as a second top feed to the absorbing means. A distillation liquid stream from the bottom of the absorbing means is heated in a heat and mass transfer means to strip out its volatile components.

  • Publication number: 20100289048
Abstract: The invention relates to a light emitter, such as an LED sealed with a resin, in particular, an LED wherein irregularities in a surface of a sealing resin can be formed through a simpler process in order to improve the light output efficiency of the LED. The LED is an LED wherein a liquid sealing resin is mixed with a solid transparent resin different from the sealing resin in specific gravity and subsequently the mixture is injected into a package into which an LED chip is integrated and then cured, thereby sealing the chip, characterized in that the solid transparent resin is fixed to the sealing resin to be partially naked to the sealing-resin-side surface of the LED through which light from the LED chip is emitted to the outside, and be partially embedded in the sealing resin, thereby being projected into the form of convexes. This LED is used for an LED displayer, an LCD backlight source, a lighting device or the like.
