Abstract: A non-rigid composite sheet comprising in order (i) a first component comprising a first fabric of continuous filament yarns having a tenacity of at least 11 g/dtex and a first polymeric layer, (ii) a second component comprising at least one second fabric of continuous filament glass yarns, the second fabric being adjacent to the first fabric of the first component, and (iii) a third component comprising a second polymeric layer.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a contact window structure. In the contact window structure, a first insulating layer, having a first opening, is positioned on a first metal layer, wherein the first opening exposes a part of the first metal layer. A second metal layer covers the first opening and contacts with the first metal layer via the first opening. A second insulating layer, having a second opening, is positioned on the first insulating layer, wherein the second opening exposes a part of the second layer and the first insulating layer. The projection area of the second opening on the first metal layer covers the projection area of the first opening on the first metal layer. A pixel structure containing the contact window structure and a manufacturing method thereof are also provided herein.
Abstract: A composite particle is provided that includes a base particle and a plurality of hydrophilic oligomeric groups extending from an exterior portion of the base particle, the base particle including a cross-linked polyurea and at least one of a pigment and a dye. The cross-linked polyurea may form a network throughout the base particle. A method of making the composite particle includes providing either a solution containing a dye or a dispersion containing a pigment in a water-dispersible polyfunctional isocyanate dissolved in a water-miscible solvent, forming an emulsion of the solution/dispersion in water, agitating the emulsion while the polyfunctional isocyanate is converted into a cross-linked polyurea, and separating the composite particle containing the cross-linked polyurea and the dye/pigment from the emulsion.

Abstract: An LED lighting assembly includes, according to various implementations, mechanisms for protecting the LED lights from voltage or current surges, including hardware that absorbs the strike voltage and hardware that provides a bypass path. The provision of a bypass path in the event of the failure of one or LED lights in an LED string allows the string to be, in effect, “turned off” in order to protect the remaining LED lights, thereby allowing the healthy LED lights to stay lit.

Abstract: A head-up display device with dust cover, which includes a base, a display module, a reflective module, an anti-dust cover and an electric drive module, wherein the anti-dust cover at least includes a first cover body and a second cover body, the electric drive module is provided to flip the second cover body, so that the first cover body and the second cover body may be driven to cover an opening of the base, to thereby prevent dust from falling inside the base when a user wipes dust off, to achieve anti-dust purpose and ensure smooth operation.
Abstract: Non-invasive intracranial pressure detection and/or monitoring and use of data with respect thereto. Illustratively, with respect to a method, there can be a method to digitally produce and communicate intracranial pressure data from skull deformation electric signals, the method including: receiving, from at least one sensor, detected skull deformation electric signals at electrical equipment configured to transform and process the skull deformation signals that are received; transforming and processing, by the electrical equipment, the received skull deformation electric signals to produce digital intracranial pressure data; and outputting, by the electrical equipment, the digital intracranial pressure data via an output device operably associated with the electrical equipment to render the digital intracranial pressure data.

Abstract: An electrophoretic display apparatus and an image processing method thereof are provided. The electrophoretic display apparatus includes a display panel and a display driver. The display driver is configured to determine whether a plurality of pixel data of an image signal needs to being recoded according to one or more judgment conditions. If so, the pixel data is recoded. The display driver drives the display panel by using a plurality of driving signals having different signal waveforms, so that the display panel displays an image frame according to pixel data without being recoded and the recoded pixel data.
Abstract: In a preferred embodiment a friction bushing is configured to rotate a shaft with resistance having a housing with a bore to receive the shaft; a flange plate positioned on the housing around the bore; and a number of flanges that protrude axially from the flange plate to receive the shaft, where the flanges generate a radially-directed force by being flexible from a relaxed radius to a shaft radius of the shaft, and the flanges have internal circumferentially spaced surfaces in contact with an external surface of the shaft having a topology to control the resistance as the shaft rotates in the friction bushing.

Abstract: A touch screen electro-optic display is arranged such that upon a touch being detected on the display surface, the display surface surrounding the touch “blinks” by being driven to a different optical state, then back to its original state. A second method uses a display having a pen or stylus which can draw lines upon the display. A first line segment is detected and its area updated using a first drive scheme having short waveforms. The area of a second line segment is updated using the first drive scheme. Thereafter, the areas of both line segments are updated using a second drive scheme different from the first drive scheme.
