Abstract: A line array structure is provided, including long wirings, short wirings, first dummy wirings and connection lines. The substrate has an elongated region, a protruding region and a drive connection region. The elongated region has first sides and second sides that respectively extend along a long-side and short-side directions. The protruding region protrudes out from the first side and is connected to the elongated region. The drive connection region is connected to the second side of the elongated region. The long wirings are disposed in the elongated region and extend to the drive connection region. The short wirings are disposed in the protruding region and are parallel with the long wirings. The first dummy wirings are disposed in the elongated region and extend to the drive connection region. Each of the short wirings is electrically connected to a corresponding first dummy wiring through one first connection lines.
Abstract: A device and method is described for producing an electrically conductive direct bond between a bonding side of a first substrate and a bonding side of a second substrate. A workspace is included that can be closed, gas-tight, against the environment and can be supplied with a vacuum. The workspace includes a) at least one plasma chamber for modifying at least one of the bonding sides and at least one bonding chamber for bonding the bonding sides, and/or b) at least one combined bonding/plasma chamber for modifying at least one of the bonding sides and for bonding the bonding sides.

Abstract: In a known method in which a cooling pipe that is fixed and rigid is used, variation in a distance from the center of an exhaust heat pipe to the outer surface of a thermoelectric conversion module, variation in the radius of curvature of the curved surface of a cooling pipe, and other factors produce a gap between the outer surface of the thermoelectric conversion module and the inside surface of the cooling pipe. The gap prevents the achievement of desired cooling performance and the improvement of power generation efficiency. A thermoelectric conversion module of the present invention includes two flexible substrates each made of a thin resin film and having mounting lands formed thereon, and a plurality of thermoelectric elements mounted on the mounting lands at high density, wherein one of the two flexible substrate has a plurality of slits to make the module easy to bend.

Abstract: Methods are provided for of driving a bistable electro-optic display having at least first and second pixels separated by an inter-pixel gap. In one method, there is applied to the first pixel a drive pulse which drives the pixel to one extreme optical state, and there is applied to the second pixel, which is in this extreme optical state, a reinforcing pulse of the same polarity as the drive pulse. In a second method, a drive pulse applied to the first pixel drives that pixel away from one extreme optical state, and an inverse reinforcing pulse applied to the second pixel is of opposite polarity to the drive pulse. The drive methods reduce edge ghosting or blooming.

Abstract: An integrated downhole electrical feedthrough package may include a metal shell having a metal web conduit disposed within the metal shell.
