Abstract: The air vent valve includes a vent valve body and a valve adapter that sealingly mate together. A vent outlet of the vent valve body and a fluid inlet of the valve adapter are connected through interior flow chambers of the vent valve body and valve adapter. A spherical ball float is constrained for longitudinal movement within a tubular collar in the interior chamber of the vent valve body, and a planar valve seat member with a central flow aperture is disposed within the vent valve body between the tubular collar and the outflow passage of the vent valve body.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for screening and producing polypeptides that immunospecifically bind to an antigen, which: polypeptides comprise binding domains that are derived from rabbit immunoglobulin. Using rabbit antibody heavy-chain or light-chain scaffolds, the methods of the invention allow identification of novel CDR loops and framework regions that confer enhanced stability and/or affinity to isolated immunoglobulin variable domains, in particular, relative to those derived from rodent antibodies. The enhanced stability and/or affinity of the variable domains of the invention permit their use in the production research tools or therapeutic immunospecific polypeptides, including single domain immunospecific polypeptides, i.e., comprising one of a VH or VL domain.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a process for making screen-printable getter composition comprising: (a) glass frit; and (b) pre-hydrated desiccant material; dispersed in (c) organic medium. The present invention further relates to a getter composition utilizing low-softening temperature glasses comprising, based on weight %, 1-50% SiO2, 0-80% B2O3, 0-90% Bi2O3, 0-90% PbO, 0-90% P2O5, 0-60% Li2O, 0-30% Al2O3, 0-10% K2O, 0-10% Na2O, and 0-30% MO where M is selected from Ba, Sr, Ca, Zn, Cu, Mg and mixtures thereof. The glasses described herein may contain several other oxide constituents that can substitute glass network-forming elements or modify glass structure. The desiccant material is pre-hydrated to reach its saturation level of moisture absorption. The process of pre-hydration can be done by exposing the desiccant in a normal temperature/humidity environment of for example, 25° C. and 50-60% RH. For 24 to 48 hours or up to the time when weight gain (due to moisture absorption) stops increasing.

Abstract: A process for creating an electronically addressable display includes multiple printing operations, similar to a multi-color process in conventional screen printing. In some of the process steps, electrically non-active inks are printed onto areas of the receiving substrate, and in other steps, electrically active inks are printed onto different areas of the substrate. The printed display can be used in a variety of applications. This display can be used as an indicator by changing state of the display after a certain time has elapsed, or when a certain pressure, thermal, radiative, moisture, acoustic, inclination, pH, or other threshold is passed. In one embodiment, the display is incorporated into a battery indicator. A sticker display is described. The sticker is adhesive backed and may then be applied to a surface to create a functional information display unit. This invention also features a display that is both powered and controlled using radio frequencies.
