The sound generator (4) has an emission pipe (16), which connects the sound generator (4) acoustically and fluidically directly with an emission chamber (17). The an emission chamber (17) emits the sound generated by the converter (10) during the operation of the sound generator (4). Increased reliability of operation is achieved if a generator control device (26) is coupled with the drive unit control device (3) for driving the converter (10) and the generator control device (26) drives the converter (4) as a function of the current operating state of the drive unit (2).

The bell mouth is solely supported by the lower shell of the enclosure. The lower shell may include at least one air-tight feed-through for a control wire connected to the loudspeaker and/or at least one pressure equalizing valve. An anti-sound system is provided that includes the sound generator and a vehicle is provided with the anti-sound system.

The membrane is funnel-like or dome-like, with the top or top face of the funnel-like membrane or the geometric center of the dome-like membrane facing away from the permanent magnet. An anti-noise system using the sound generator, and a vehicle using the anti-noise system are also provided.
