Abstract: A method for manufacturing a solar cell includes (S1) forming, on a first conductive semiconductor substrate, a second conductive semiconductor layer having an opposite conduction type by means of ion implantation to form a pn junction in an interface thereof; (S2) treating an alkali solution on the second conductive semiconductor layer for texturing; (S3) forming an antireflection film on the textured second conductive semiconductor layer; (S4) forming a front electrode to pass through a partial region of the antireflection film and connect to a part of the second conductive semiconductor layer; and (S5) forming a rear electrode at an opposite side to the front electrode with the first conductive semiconductor substrate being interposed therebetween such that the rear electrode is connected to the first conductive semiconductor substrate. The second conductive semiconductor layer, namely an emitter layer, functions as an etch stop layer.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus of searching a broadcast channel and a method of the same. According to the present invention, a quick channel searching is achieved because information of two channels may be searched simultaneously on at least two divided sections of a screen with a single channel change input signal. Furthermore, it is possible to compare and select channels because one of the channels is fixed and only the other one is changeable on the at least two divided sections of the screen.
Abstract: A plasma display device is provided. The plasma display device includes a plasma display panel (PDP) including an upper substrate, on which first and second electrodes are formed, and a lower substrate, on which a third electrode is formed; and a driving unit applying a sustain signal to the first and second electrodes, wherein a negative voltage signal and a positive voltage signal are applied to the first and second electrodes, respectively, after a number of sustain discharges caused by the sustain signal. Therefore, it is possible to efficiently accumulate space charges on each electrode and thus to address the problems associated with a shortage of wall charges such as a misdischarge and a dark discharge.

Abstract: A portable RF wireless device (41), such as a microphone, is provided with an infrared beacon in order to signal a connection request to a wireless communication access point (48) using a first IR code (401). In response to this first IR code, the wireless communication access point broadcasts an RF inquiry message (101) that is responded (102) to by the portable RF wireless device in order to establish an RF communication link. After the RF communication link is established, the portable RF wireless device conditionally transmits a second IR code to verify that it is still collocated in the local vicinity of the wireless communication access point, such as being in the same room.
Abstract: Disclosed are a method of constructing information on associate meanings between segments of a multimedia stream, which can describe the cause/effect or abstract/detail relationship between segments of the video streams to efficiently browse the video stream and a method of browsing a video using the same. The present invention defines the cause/effect or abstract/detail relationship between the segments, event intervals, scenes, shots, etc. existing within one video stream or between the video streams, and provides a method of describing the relationship in a data region based on the content of a video stream as well as a method of browsing a video by using the information on the cause/effect or abstract/detail relationship obtained by the aforementioned method. Accordingly, a video browsing on associate meanings is available with easy manipulation and easy access to a desired part, thereby providing an effective video browsing interface for easy browsing of desired segments in a short period of time.
Abstract: To improve the strength of a door handle, facilitate decorating of a door handle, simplify assembly, and improve the outward appearance of not only a door handle but also a door, there is provided a door handle for a refrigerator including: a handle holder fixed to a side of a door of the refrigerator; a handle bar body formed to extend in one direction, with extended ends thereof fixed to the handle holder and having a catching rib respectively formed at either side thereof; and a handle cover disposed at a front of the handle bar body and catching on and supported by the catching ribs.
Abstract: Provided are an ice bank fixation device for a refrigerator, and a refrigerator including the ice bank fixation device. The ice bank fixation device includes a first coupling part disposed at an ice bank and a second coupling part. The second coupling part is configured to keep the ice bank at a position attached to a backside of a refrigerator door by an interlocking motion with the second coupling part.
Abstract: This document is related to a method for receiving signals in multi-user system, the method comprising: receiving signals form 2 or more mobile stations using ‘k’-th radio resource and ‘k+m’-th radio resource; estimating a channel matrix using the received signals; calculating a weight matrix so that the channel matrix have an orthogonality to the signals from each of the mobile stations; transmitting the weight matrix to each of the mobile stations; and receiving signals that the weight matrix is applied by each of the mobile stations. By doing so, we can increase the transmission efficiency through obtaining both orthogonality and diversity gain in the multi-user MIMO system.

Abstract: In one embodiment, at least one audio data frame having at least one channel is generated. Each channel is divided into a plurality of blocks. A sub-block partitioning scheme is selected, and a number of sub-blocks into which the block is to be partitioned is selected. The selected number of sub-blocks is chosen from numbers of sub-blocks available for the selected sub-block partitioning scheme. The block of audio data is partitioned into sub-blocks according to the selected number of sub-blocks, and the partitioned sub-blocks are coded according to a selected entropy coding scheme.
Abstract: Disclosed is a key-less ignition system for a vehicle. The system allows a user to automatically start the engine of a vehicle via a push button and a remote passive transponder. The system finds particular application in conjunction with smaller vehicles such as motorcycles. In one specific embodiment of the invention, the system is used in connection with an anti-theft device, such as a wheel lock. In yet another embodiment of the invention, the key-less ignition system is used in connection with a records management system, whereby service technicians can remotely retrieve maintenance records relating to the vehicle.
Abstract: In one embodiment, the method includes obtaining a reference picture list including multiple reference pictures, and obtaining a field reference picture index associated with the current field macroblock. A frame reference picture index is determined based on the field reference picture index, and a field reference picture having a parity equal to a parity of the field macroblock is selected if the field reference picture index is an even value.

Abstract: A distributed generation system is connected to an AC power line that provides AC electrical power from a source to a load. The distributed generation system includes a DC electrical power source, a capacitor for storing DC electrical power, a converter for converting electrical power stored in the DC electrical power source at a first voltage to a second, greater voltage for storage in the capacitor. The system includes an inverter for inverting the electrical power stored in the capacitor at the second voltage into AC electrical power having a peak voltage less than the second voltage. A controller is provided and operative for controlling the operation of the converter and the inverter to deliver electrical power stored in the DC electrical power source to the capacitor for delivery as AC electrical power to the AC power line.
Abstract: A paper feeding device includes a supporting base and a paper arranging module. The supporting base has a supporting surface, an inclined supporting plane, and a slot located at the supporting surface. The paper arranging module includes a guiding structure fixed under the supporting surface, a paper-pushing structure slidably disposed on the guiding structure, an elastic element interconnected between the paper-pushing structure and a fixed end, and a gear disposed on the guiding structure. The gear has an engaging part for engaging with and driving the paper-pushing structure to move toward the inclined supporting plane along the slot for arranging the paper sheets supported on the supporting base, thus facilitating subsequent paper dividing. When a non-engaging part of the gear corresponds to the paper-pushing structure, the paper-pushing structure is restored to an original position by an elastic force of the elastic element.
