Abstract: Image sensors and the manufacture of image sensors having low dark current. A SiGe or Ge layer is selectively grown on the silicon substrate of the sensing area using an epitaxial chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. After the SiGe or Ge growth, a silicon layer may be grown by the same epitaxial CVD method in an in-situ manner. This facilitates the formation of the hole accumulation diode and reduces the defect density of the substrate, resulting in device having a lower dark current.

Abstract: Particular embodiments generally relate to an extensible network discovery system. In one embodiment, a device may be able to communicate with a plurality of other devices that may communicate using different discovery protocols. For example, the device may include a discovery component that includes a plurality of discovery protocol plug-ins. The plug-ins enable communication using different discovery protocols. An application layer format is provided for applications of a device to communicate with the discovery component. The discovery component can then translate messages from the application layer format to a format compatible with each discovery protocol. Accordingly, applications do not need to know each discovery protocol format. Also, devices can communicate with different devices that may be configured to communicate using different discovery protocols.

Abstract: Dimensional stabilization of a precision etched mask used in the production of organic light emitting diode display panels. This may entail securing a sheet of mask material, and then heating the sheet of mask material to a temperature within a predetermined range for a predetermined amount of time to produce a treated sheet of mask material. The treated sheet of mask material may then be used to fabricate a dimensionally stable precision etched mask, such as by exposing and etching the treated sheet of mask material.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for encoding a decoding a video signal. In the procedure of encoding the video signal, when a frame temporarily simultaneous with a frame including a macro block of an enhanced layer which will obtain a prediction video does not exist in a base layer, the macro block is encoded based on difference values of residual data using corresponding residual blocks in a past frame and a future frame of the base layer which are residual data corresponding to image difference values and using a residual block for the macro block of the enhanced layer. In another embodiment, the macro block is encoded based on difference values of residual data using corresponding residual blocks in a past frame and a future frame of the enhanced layer and the residual block for the macro block.

Abstract: A signal transmission method in a multiple antenna system is described. The signal transmission method includes, upon receiving channel state information from a receiving end, estimating a channel according to the channel state information, determining a precoding matrix according to the estimated channel and modifying the signal of the transmitting end using the precoding matrix in a process of mapping a symbol of the signal to a subcarrier, and transmitting the signal to the receiving end. According to the present invention, pre-equalization of a transmission signal can cause a receiving end to perform coherent combination, reduce pilot density by decreasing unnecessary pilots, and reduce interference within a cell or between cells.
