Abstract: A data transmission method in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes allocating a plurality of pilot resources for supporting pilot transmission through a plurality of antennas, and if there are residue pilot resources not used in the pilot transmission among the plurality of pilot resources, transmitting data by using the residue pilot resources.

Abstract: A method of controlling a refrigerator is provided in which a refrigerating chamber and a freezing chamber may be cooled at the same time the refrigerating chamber and the freezing chamber may be cooled sequentially, and a refrigerant recovery may then be performed. Accordingly, upon initial start-up of the refrigerator, a temperature within each chamber may be cooled more rapidly through simultaneous cooling. Further, when a compressor is actuated again after being off, refrigerant may be supplied to each evaporator smoothly through the refrigerant recovery. Accordingly, cooling performance of a freezing cycle may be improved.
Abstract: A blower includes an impeller and a housing. The housing has an accommodating portion, a throat portion and a concave portion. The impeller is disposed within the housing and rotates via the shaft. A first axial line and a second axial line are perpendicular to each other, and both intersect at a position where the shaft is located to divide the housing into four regions. Both of the throat portion and the concave portion are disposed adjacent to the outlet and disposed in the first region.

Abstract: A data modulation method and a data error correction method are provided. The data modulation method includes generating a channel sequence for an input sequence, determining whether or not the channel sequence violates a Run Length Limit (RLL) constraint, and performing, when the channel sequence violates the RLL constraint, bit flip at a position prior to a position at which the RLL constraint is violated among positions of bits included in the channel sequence. Abstract: A method for controlling, a power saving mode of a mobile station (MS) in a mobile communication system is disclosed. The method differently defines operations of power saving modes of individual cases in association with message traffic distinguished from user traffic of a service, so that it can effectively reduce power consumption of the mobile station (MS). Firstly, the listening window of the power saving mode is used. Secondly, a method for transmitting a request message for pending the sleep mode is used. If the sleep-mode pending is requested, the sleep-mode resume message may be used in the case of a reactivation, or the reactivation can be automatically performed if a current time reaches a predetermined time.

Abstract: A light source switching device for use in a projection system is provided. The light source switching device comprises at least two light guiding devices and at least one phase switching device. The phase switching device is disposed between the two light guiding devices and adapted to be in one of a first status and a second status. When the first light travels into the light source switching device, the phase switching device is capable of being in the first status such that the first light is adapted to emit out from the outlet surface. When the second light travels into the light source switching device, the phase switching device is capable of being in the second status such that the second light is adapted to emit out from the outlet surface. With the switching operation of the phase switching device, the plural lights provided by plural light sources would be selected and uniformized by the light source switching device.
Abstract: A method for recovering transmission errors, comprising: receiving a data packet comprising an error detection code associated to data contained in the packet, wherein the data associated to the error detection code comprises primary data and secondary data, checking the error detection code of the received packet to detect an erroneous state of the associated data, when the erroneous state is detected, determining a finite set of candidate values for the primary data and, for each values of the set: determining a marginal likelihood of the candidate value as a function of the error detection code of the received packet, determining a first correlation between the primary data of the received packet and the candidate value, and selecting a corrected value for the primary data among the set of candidate values as a function of said marginal likelihoods and said first correlations.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is transmission/reception of data according to a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. A method for transmitting data includes, at a transmission side, mapping at least one HARQ process to at least one logical channel, and transmitting a control signal including information associated with the mapping result to a reception side. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently use a radio resource and reduce unnecessary overhead.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for interacting with a mobile telephone are provided. A remote control unit receives a user command and transmits it to a TV system which recognizes the user command as a telephone function command and transmits the function command to the mobile telephone if the TV system is set to Telephone Mode. The TV system may also output data received from the mobile telephone in response to the transmitted function command. Thus, a user may interact with a mobile telephone using an interactive TV system by displaying text/image data received from the telephone and by inputting various telephone function commands using a remote control unit. Upon receiving a function command from the TV system, the mobile telephone generates output data in response to the function command and transmits itto the TV system. A display unit of the TV system displays the text/image data, and a speaker outputs the sound data.
