  • Patent number: 4673066
Abstract: A brake for a substantially light-constructed transport carriage includes a frame part, wheels and a part for drawing the carriage, the draw part being turnably carried in the frame part so that it can be lifted into vertical position to produce a braking effect. The problems encountered in existing brake mechanisms include wear and consequent abundant need of maintenance, and unreliable operation of the brakes. These are solved by arranging in the carriage between the draw means and the wheels, preferably the front wheels, a mechanism by which the front wheels turn in opposite directions when the draw part is lifted into its upper position.

  • Patent number: 4673326
Abstract: A bridge and stopper mechanism for an apparatus for lateral transfer of roller pallets, the apparatus serving to transfer roller pallets and employing bridges as extensions of rails between the shelving and the transporter body, the stopper being placed on the shelving to control the access of roller pallets to the lateral transporter. To reduce the number of hydraulic cylinders and to simplify the operation of the mechanism, the invention is implemented in such manner that at least one stopper actuator lever is pivoted on each end of the internal transporter body, the said levers being connected to the bridges and moving along with these. When pressing against the base of the stopper peg, the stopper actuator lever is turned from a horizontal position to a low position.

  • Patent number: 4663700
Abstract: A way of placing chokes with air core, such as thyristor commutating chokes, in a three-phase alternating current rectifier. With a view to eliminating the drawbacks of air-core chokes especially in three-phase rectifying applications, the three chokes of three phases, wound in the same winding direction, are placed on one and the same plane at the corner points of an imagined triangle which brings the chokes as close together as possible.

  • Patent number: 4653612
Abstract: The present invention concerns a speed limiter for lifts provided with catch device. The tension force acting on the lifting rope of an elevator is greatly variable. A detrimental feature herein is the jerky stopping of the rope sheave, resulting in looping of the rope and delay of the onset of braking effect. The invention serves the object to eliminate these drawbacks and to provide an improved speed limiter.

  • Patent number: 4640459
Abstract: This invention concerns dual rail transportation system (1) used with roller pallets on which the wheels (2) of at least one pair of wheels are swiveling. On the margins of the running surface (5) of one rail (4) have been provided relatively low steering flanges (6) with a spacing (a) nearly the same as the breath (b) of the wheel traveling thereon. The other rail has a flat running surface sufficiently wider than the surface (5) of the one rail (4) to permit swiveling of the wheel traveling thereon. The roller pallet will hereby be steered with high accuracy on the rails.

  • Patent number: 4638610
Abstract: A theatrical stage, comprising a plurality of side-by-side, screw-operated shearlegs tables, each such table having its own operating mechanism connected to the operating vertical screw. The screw is pivotally connected to the shearlegs members by dual transmission members, by which movement of the table platform is made almost linear in relation to the rotation of the screw. The vertical movement of the platform of the shearlegs tables is synchronized by employing as operating mechanism, electro-hydraulic step motors for each table, with a brake mounted on each screw for arresting rotary motion of the step motor.

  • Patent number: 4635320
Abstract: A pulse floor selector for a lift, with a floor and location determining system based on counting pulses indicating the lift's velocity, with the aid of electronics thereto appropriate. Dense pulse floor selection is used for determining the lift's location, in particular in modern high speed lifts. To serve as pulse former, generally a pulse transmitter (PA) mechanically coupled with the motor is required, which supplies a number of pulses (PT) proportional to the distance traversed. The present invention represents a different approach wherein the requisite pulses are formed without transmitter. In the means of the invention, there has been connected to the tachometer generator (TG) giving the velocity of the lift, an analog/digital converter (A/D) which delivers to the electronics taking care of floor and location determination, a pulse train (PT) of which the frequency is proportional to the lift's velocity, whereby the total number of pulses per time unit is thus proportional to the distance travelled.

  • Patent number: 4543026
Abstract: A pick-up means for roller pallets in such applications where the roller pallets (1) run on rails (2) on tracks (3). At the discharge end of the tracks there is a stop (4) preventing the discharge of roller pallets until a pick-up means (6) provided with a travelling surface (5) comes to get the roller pallets meant to be dispatched. The pick-up means of the invention is characterized in that it comprises a slide (8) movable in its longitudinal direction and provided with a transporter (7), said slide being at a pick-up operation movable in under the first roller pallet (1) on the rails (2), while at the same time it will disengage the stop (4) so that the roller pallet moves onto the travelling surface (5) of the pick-up means, being pulled by the slide (8). The pick-up operation is now accomplished with considerably greater safety and speed than with any apparatus of prior art.

  • Patent number: 4518062
Abstract: A procedure for adjusting the stopping of an elevator as accurately as possible on desired level with the aid of the deceleration instruction (DR). From the elevator's deceleration instruction (DR) a sample is taken at the beginning and at the end of deceleration, these are compared with each other and the linearity of deceleration is adjusted on the basis of the result obtained. The invention also concerns an elevator deceleration measuring circuit for carrying out the procedure. The measuring circuit, connected to the deceleration instruction (DR) of the elevator, comprises a display unit such as for instance two light-emitting diodes (D4,D5) by which the result can be ascertained if the deceleration instruction is increasing or decreasing.

  • Patent number: 4499972
Abstract: An elevator speed control system permitting rotation of the motor with short-circuited rotor at full speed, wherein the thyristors controlling said motor permit the motor to rotate at full speed and when the elevator is running in the lighter direction, operation of the motor as generator at an over-synchronous speed. The system comprises a control unit assembled of components known in themselves in the art by which the instruction value is increased considerably past the actual value, whereby the motor with short-circuited rotor is left to rotate at full speed, and that on commencing retardation the instruction value is dropped directly to be consistent with the actual value.
