  • Publication number: 20090188273
Abstract: An air flap device (10) for a cooling or/and freezing appliance of kitchen equipment comprises an air flap (18) which is mounted so that it can pivot about a first axis of rotation (20) between an open position and a closed position, uncovers an air passage opening for the passage of air in the open position and at least substantially blocks the air passage opening against the passage of air in the closed position, and a motor-driven flap operating mechanism for pivoting the air flap. According to the invention, the flap operating mechanism comprises a rotary member (26) which is disposed so as to be driven about a second axis of rotation (28) as well as a separate force transmission member (32) which serves to transmit force between the rotary member and the air flap, is coupled to the rotary member at a point lying eccentrically to the second axis of rotation and is coupled to the air flap (18) at a point lying at a distance from the first axis of rotation.

Abstract: Method for determining a property of a fluid for a household device, comprising the following steps: measurement of a physical variable of the fluid associated with the property of the fluid, in each case when a first parameter influencing the physical variable has one of at least two predetermined values, in order to obtain at least two measurement values for the said first parameter, and correlation of the at least two measurement values for the first parameter, in order to obtain a first value characterising the property of the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20090072547
Abstract: A door-closing device for a domestic electrical appliance comprises a frame (12) with an aperture (14) for the introduction of a keeper (16). Arranged on the frame so as to be movable, relative to the latter, is a closing unit (22) which, in a closing position, holds the keeper fast for the purpose of keeping the door closed and, in an open position, releases said keeper for the purpose of opening the door, said closing unit, in the course of its transfer from the open position into the closing position, drawing the keeper along with it along part of said keeper's path of movement. A closing spring arrangement which acts upon the closing unit supplies the force necessary for drawing the keeper along with said unit. The closing unit can be blocked by a blocking system (30) from moving out of the open position and into the closing position, it being possible to set aside the blocking of the closing unit by relative movement of said blocking system and closing unit.

  • Publication number: 20090045213
Abstract: The invention relates to an ice dispenser (10) for a refrigerator that includes a flap unit (24) which is arranged in an ice dispenser shaft and which can be adjusted between a release position which releases the ice dispenser shaft for dispensing ice and a locking position which blocks the ice dispenser shaft against dispensing ice, a pulse-controlled actuating magnet arrangement (58) for actuating the flap unit (24), and mechanical retention means (36, 64, 66) which releasably retain the flap unit (24) in the release position and in the locking position thereof, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20080042447
Abstract: A door latch device for a domestic electrical appliance, in particular for a dishwasher, has a frame (10) provided or to be provided on a first component of the domestic appliance, a latching unit (28) arranged so it can be displaced relative to the frame between an open position and a latched position for engagement with a closure system of a second component of the domestic appliance that can be moved relative to the first appliance component and is to be locked with respect thereto, and a latching spring assembly that pre-tensions the latching unit and which in the open position of the latching unit forces the unit into engagement with a blocking surface (24) that blocks relaxation of the latching spring assembly.

  • Patent number: 7210711
Abstract: The solution according to the invention is based upon the knowledge that the undesirable hysteresis of the force-path function in door locks (1) can be avoided or at least minimised if the (frictional) forces acting during transitions from open positions to closed positions and vice versa are minimised and/or avoided. In this respect, the invention is based upon the starting point of at least reducing (frictional) forces acting in bearings for rotatable components (14, 18, 28) of door locks (1) and/or between surfaces (22, 30) displaceable relative to one another. In this manner, it is attained that forces required for a transition from a closed position to an open position essentially correspond to forces required for a transition from the open position to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7060979
Abstract: The invention relates to a transmission sensor (1) for measuring the turbidity of a fluid, comprising a first and a second measuring section (2, 3). A transmitter (6) emits electromagnetic radiation into the two measuring sections (2, 3). A first receiver (14) is allocated to the first measuring section (2) and a second receiver (15) is allocated to the second measuring section (3). The transmitter (6) is inserted into a transmitter carrier (8) in such a way that the transmitter (6) is forced to adopt a predetermined oriented position. The receivers (14, 15) are inserted into a receiver carrier (18) in such a way that each of said receivers (14, 15) is forced to adopt a predetermined oriented position. A transmitter carrier holder (9) forcibly positions the transmitter carrier (8) in a predetermined location and a receiver carrier holder (19) forcibly positions the receiver carrier (18) in a predetermined location.
