  • Publication number: 20150207322
Abstract: When an AC line of one local system and a power system are in a parallel-off state, a control device included in a power supply system causes local inverter devices of the local systems to operate in a parallel-off operation mode in which control is performed such that the voltage and frequency of power on the AC line is at a target voltage and a target frequency determined according to the state of charge of a power storage device. When a condition for switching to the connected state has been satisfied, the control device stops operation of the local inverter device in the parallel-off operation mode and causes a switch to the connected state by operating the interrupting device, and thereafter causes the local inverter device to operate in a charging operation mode used in charging the power storage device with supplementary power received from the power system.

  • Patent number: 9086828
Abstract: When the user executes printing in a system to which plural printers are connected, the waiting time of each user is minimized, and the use of the plural printers is equalized. The print management device is connected to the terminal devices and the printers via a network, for example. The print management device saves the print jobs transmitted from each of the terminal devices. When receiving the print instruction from any one of the printers, the print management device transmits the print job corresponding thereto to the printer and makes the printer execute the printing. Also, the print management device collects and manages the print execution status of the printers. When receiving a new print instruction from the printer which is already executing the print job, the print management device calculates the waiting time of each of the printers and notifies the printer having the shortest waiting time.

  • Patent number: 9087072
Abstract: A file cloning mechanism allows for quickly creating copies (clones) of files within a filesystem, such as when a user makes a copy of a file. In exemplary embodiments, a clone of a source object is at least initially represented by a structure containing references to various elements of the source object (e.g., indirect onodes, direct onodes, and data blocks). Both read-only and mutable clones can be created. The source file and the clone initially share such elements and continue to share unmodified elements as changes are made to the source file or mutable clone. None of the user data blocks or the metadata blocks describing the data stream (i.e., the indirect/direct onodes) associated with the source file need to be copied at the time the clone is created. At appropriate times, cloned files may be “de-cloned.

  • Patent number: 9086069
Abstract: Cooling apparatuses, electronic device assemblies, and cooling assemblies having a magnetic shape memory member are disclosed. In one embodiment, a cooling apparatus includes a first compliant member, a magnetic shape memory member, a magnetic field generating device, a second compliant member and a fan member. A first end of the magnetic shape memory member is coupled to the first compliant member. The magnetic field generating device is positioned proximate the magnetic shape memory member, and generates a magnetic field toward the magnetic shape memory member to cause the magnetic shape memory member to expand along a linear translation axis. Expansion of the magnetic shape memory member causes an actuated portion of the second compliant member to translate about an axis. The fan member is coupled to the actuated portion of the compliant member such that translation of the actuated portion translates the fan member.

  • Patent number: 9086188
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for reducing a heating value of natural gas. The system includes a heat exchanger to liquefy a portion of components having high heating values, a gas-liquid separator to separate the liquefied component, and a nitrogen adding mechanism to add nitrogen to remaining non-liquefied components. The system includes an additional heat exchanger to cool and liquefy the remaining non-liquefied components after the gas-liquid separator separates the liquefied component from the natural gas. The heat exchangers employ cold heat generated upon regasification of LNG. The system can reduce the heating value of natural gas composed of a variety of hydrocarbon components according to requirements of a place of demand by separating the component with the higher heating value from the natural gas to allow the separated component to be used as fuel, thereby reducing an overall size and operating costs of the system.

  • Patent number: 9086151
Abstract: A hydrodynamically lubricating geometry for the generally circular dynamic sealing lip of rotary seals that are employed to partition a lubricant from an environment. The dynamic sealing lip is provided for establishing compressed sealing engagement with a relatively rotatable surface, and for wedging a film of lubricating fluid into the interface between the dynamic sealing lip and the relatively rotatable surface in response to relative rotation that may occur in the clockwise or the counter-clockwise direction. A wave form incorporating an elongated dimple provides the gradual convergence, efficient impingement angle, and gradual interfacial contact pressure rise that are conducive to efficient hydrodynamic wedging. Skewed elevated contact pressure zones produced by compression edge effects provide for controlled lubricant movement within the dynamic sealing interface between the seal and the relatively rotatable surface, producing enhanced lubrication and low running torque.

Abstract: Disclosed is a vibratory hammer used to drive a pile in a foundation work of a construction site. A pair of main grip portions of a main gripper capable of gripping a pile are mounted on a pair of sliding arms capable of linear reciprocation. While the main grip portions and the sliding arms make linear reciprocation, a gap between the main grip portions is adjusted depending on a size and a shape of the pile (primary sliding operation). While a jaw pad of the main grip portion that substantially grips the pile also makes linear reciprocation by virtue of self-power of the main grip portion, the pile is gripped (secondary sliding operation). The primary and secondary sliding operations are sequentially performed.
