  • Publication number: 20050247269
Abstract: An improved scale conditioning composition and method is disclosed that results in improved dissolution and disruption of tube scale, hardened sludge and other deposits composed primarily of highly densified magnetite such as those found in heat exchange vessels, particularly steam generators. After treatment with the advanced scale conditioning composition, these magnetite rich deposits are more easily removed using known and commercially available high pressure hydro-mechanical cleaning techniques. The present invention further provides effective cleaning in a short period of time and at relatively low temperatures, while reducing the amount of waste produced and reducing the resulting corrosion of carbon and low alloy steel components within the steam generator during the cleaning process.

  • Patent number: 6961994
Abstract: A mounting device including a plurality of heads, each holding a chip, arranged on a circle, is used to realize accurate and high-speed mounting. A mounting device comprises a plurality of heads with calibration marks, first recognition mechanism fixed in a chip mounting position, and second recognition mechanism fixed in another position. Prior to mounting operation, the first recognition mechanism and the second recognition mechanism recognize and store the positions of the calibration marks of the heads. In mounting operation, the first recognition mechanism recognizes the positions of a substrate and the calibration marks of the heads, whereas the second recognition mechanism recognizes the positions of chips attracted on the heads. The heads are moved vertically to adjust plane to be recognized. The chip and the substrate are aligned according to the position information obtained by the recognition mechanisms, and the chips are mounted.

  • Publication number: 20050242513
Abstract: A long life high pressure seal stack provides a reliable and efficient seal between a plunger and housing of a plunger type pump. The seal stack includes a high pressure sealing element and a low pressure sealing element, both of which provide a sealing extension which surrounds and is in contact with the plunger. The sealing extension is configured to be exposed to internal pressures within the valve, thus urging the sealing extension tighter against the plunger when pressures are high, while relaxing the sealing extension when pressures are low. By incorporating this variable pressure feature, the friction between the plunger and the seal is greatly reduced, especially during low pressure conditions. Further, the sealing elements are constructed of a low friction material, thus avoiding problems related to potential overheating of a seal element.

  • Publication number: 20050244532
Abstract: The present invention concerns an apparatus and a method for making fibre ball from a fibrous product, where the apparatus includes an inlet for fibrous products and an outlet for fibrous balls, where the apparatus includes a cylindric housing, where the apparatus includes a centrally disposed, through-going rotating shaft that is driven by a motor, where a number of radially outwards directed wings are secured to the shaft and are interacting with the internal wall of the cylindric housing. The purpose of the invention is to provide a simple and rapidly continually working machine for producing fibre balls from a fibrous product. This may be achieved with a machine as described in the introduction, if the cylindric housing at the inner wall includes at least one axially extending projection, where the projection of the inner wall interacts with the front edge of the outwards directed wings. Hereby may be achieved that fibre balls are formed in a very efficient way.

  • Patent number: 6959892
Abstract: This invention provides a reel 1 for a fine metal wire comprising a drum 2, two flange bodies 3, and two flange reinforcing members 4 each of them made of thin steel metal. Each flange reinforcing members 4 is bent into L-shape in cross-section such that a flange side portion 4a is placed at a tilt angle ? of 4 +3/?3 degrees with respect to a vertical line. The flange side portion 4a of the flange reinforcing member 4 is brought into intimate contact with a flange 3b of the flange body to be fixed thereto by spot welding. As a result, a tensile stress is previously produced at the bent portion P, thereby substantially improving the strength and the repetitive usability.

  • Patent number: 6959795
Abstract: The invention disclosed is a compact and lightweight hybrid pneumatic-magnetic isolator-actuator capable of large force, substantial stroke and bandwidth actuation with near frictionless operation and vibration isolation with very low break frequency. Pneumatic and magnetic forces are applied to a single carriage comprised primarily of a coaxially arranged air piston and coil. The carriage is driven relative to a frame or housing including an internally mounted cylindrical piston sleeve and magnetic actuator body. A combination of air bearings and air bearing piston construction provide for frictionless motion of the carriage relative to the frame. The pneumatic piston provides the actuation force for both static loads and low frequency dynamic loads. An integrally mounted sensor and control unit determine the pressure error resulting at the pneumatic piston.

  • Patent number: 6959675
Abstract: A valve system for an internal combustion engine in which accumulating means can be provided without deteriorating the ease of assembly is provided. A variable valve control mechanism provides control to selectively open and close intake valves and exhaust valves. Pressurized oil supplied to the variable valve control mechanism is accumulated in an accumulator. The body of the accumulator is inserted into and fixed in a hole of a cylinder head. The length of a gap formed between the upper part of the body of the accumulator and a flat plate is set to be shorter than the length of a screw part of the body of the accumulator. Therefore, the accumulator can be replaced and maintained easily, and can be prevented from falling off.
